I was thinking spring of 08, we will see, we can take up to 12.

Stuart's Cove is good, just a rush when in Nassau.

I went diving with Stuart Cove many moons ago (in the 80s!  ) B.C. (before children :lmao: )

Good Morning Everyone!

Rainy here today.

Hope you all have a great day! Weekends almost here..thank goodness.

:cool1: :thumbsup2

Morning Cheryl! We just cleared Shreveport, LA. We are almost home! Yippee! I can smell that Alabama air already!

Have you done Stuart's with DCL or independently? I see that they list it as one of their excursions and it's only $10 more than what you can purchase it online for- but it doesn't give you anything extra. I would like to know if the DCL excursion dive is in the morning or afternoon....

I wonder if we could get a large of a group together as to form a group rate for a dive there? I know Linda's husband and daughter dive, Robb and I, Char and Andy, you two, Peter and Jenn:laughing: Who else?

Let me know about the Spring dive, sounds fun. Have you heard about the sardine runs in South Africa?? HOLY COW! I wanna do that- Robb says he will stay in the boat. :sad2:

We did Stuart Cove's independently, it wasn't bad, other than I left a wet suit in the rinse tank, then spend a fortune on the ship to shore phone trying to get ahold of them to ship it back! The other time we dove at Nassau, we used the DCL excursion, which used a closer dive shop. Stuart Cove's is on the other side of the island, and involves a bus ride, but I think they did a better job than the DCL excursion. Don't know how many we would need to get for a group price to Stuart Cove's, but we could check it out. It is too bad that DCL never started a Scuba program at Castaway Cay, that would be great!

Morning all, I am at the hospital redoing CPR. They make us take basic every year and advanced every two years if you work in critical care.

They also have us do lots of other fun things- don't you wish you were a nurse too?

What fun things is everyone doing? We know tink will be doing snakes & sparklers. I will be working or at home on call.

I will try and contact stuarts cove and see what is needed for a group rate.

Celeste, we will be at the big dive show in November and we could talk to them then, the dive show is where they are trying to sell trips etc.

I am married again!!! Yesterday was my 20th Anniversary, so DH and I renewed our vows on the beach just before sunset. I hired a photographer and can't wait to see the photos. I bought DH a silver piece that came from the Atocha shipwreck. We visited the Mel Fisher museum in Key West on a Disney Cruise back in 2003. He has been fascinated with that wreck and treasure for many years.

I might be interested in a dive if DH gets certified. Although if we do a group dive and charter a boat, he can snorkle.

Birthday wishes and congrats to those celebrating.

Hey Leslie!

That is really cool! Congrats on 20 years and yes, please encourage DH to get certified! I'm excited to see the photos, I'm sure they are beautiful!

Yep DEMA, DEMA has gotten pretty tight about getting folks in the past couple of years. We have had to present corp documents, receipts, ID etc etc etc....

Celeste, and all you other divers out there---Scott and I were just talking on the phone, and came up with this idea. How about adding on a short dive trip to the cruise. We get off the ship on Saturday, spend Saturday night at WDW, then on Sunday fly to Bimini for a couple of days for diving. For those who have not been to Bimini, it is a really neat Bahamian island. It is only about 200 feet wide, and several miles long (at least North Bimini). We fly over in a sea plane. The water is really clear, and it is normally very easy diving. Very appropriate for newly certified and junior divers. We know the folks at Bimini Undersea's, and if there is enough interest, we could try to get a group rate to there. (I did my open water dives in Bimini, so I am very partial to it). Be warned that there is very little to do on the island if you do not dive or snorkel. There is one paved road, and very few cars. You can walk from the hotel to resturants and shops (mostly straw market type). There are a few bars, but otherwise, no nightlife. We generally are in bed early when we are diving.

A second possibility is to rent a car, or cars, and drive up to the springs for a day. Scott says it is too early for manatees. The springs are very clear, but cold, heavy exposure protection is necessary.

If anyone is interested, send us a PM and we will see what might be arranged.
