Special 5 night Bahamas 9/1/08 Are you going?

Hi Sharon,
We own at Saratoga Springs. I would love to own at AKL, but due to my cruising habit- there currently isn't money for that. I guess you can't have it all....

Too bad we can't have it all. Wouldn't that be the life?! We aren't able to cruise very often. This will only be our second Disney Cruise and it's just DH and me this time and it's still a surprise for him. We'll be leaving our 3 teen boys at home (with supervision). The only reason we're able to do it this time is because we had booked two cruises for our first family Disney Cruise, (one for back up). Transferring the deposit from the backup cruise is making it possible to go on this double dip cruise.

We would also love to get a small add-on at Animal Kingdom Villas too. The WLV contract is only 100 points which isn't alot - but will guarantee us some future WDW trips.

I just received some good Disney news (not cruise related) that I'm so excited about. DH and I are buying a DVC resale contract at VWL and just got the email that Disney waived their ROFL so the contract is ours!

This is especially sweet because we used to own DVC points at Wilderness Lodge, Vero, and Beach Club and had to sell those contracts a few years ago due to financial reasons. Can't wait to hear our first "Welcome Home".

Who else going on our cruise are DVC members and what is your home resort?

Good for you!!! Congrats on the resale. DVC has been great for us. We own at Boardwalk + OKW. Would love to own more (for cruising), but now we have Mouse Beach our new permanent overnight-staying place just a bit behind the MK.

We can't wait to visit the new AKL DVC rooms!!!

Your home resorts are the only two WDW DVC resorts I haven't stayed at yet. I've always wanted to try the roller coaster slide at the BWV pool. It looks like it would be really fun. Have you tried it?

Thanks, I was waiting for someone to say Welcome Back Home. I'm looking forward to seeing the new villas at AKL too! I'm hoping to be able to book there for a visit in October if we can close the WLV contract soon enough to be able to get an add on of AKV points before it gets all booked up. Or maybe I'll work on DH and see if I can talk him into a new contract of 160 points then booking AKV in October probably wouldn't be a problem. Can anyone say "When pigs fly?"

The cruise seems so far away so it would be nice to have one WDW trip in the middle to break up the long wait. Time to stop dreaming - Back to work, Back to work - work, work work.

Sharon, Kiester Coaster is fun, unless you have a fear of Clowns....I recall someone having an issue there.

We are thinking of a trip to HH this fall, got some free airline tickets, haven't been to that DVC property.

Scott, do let us know how HH is. It seams like a really R+R place... just up Joe's alley! I've heard it's hard to book. We would also like to try it sometime.

Sharon, BVW is one of favorite places to stay due to the close proximity of EPCOT + MGM Studios. Our nephew loves the slide. Of course, he loves all the slides.

To anyone who likes to pool hop during a stay on points: Give the new GF pool a try is was really relaxing after a hot day at MK. Of course, Brandon (nephew) felt so special calling his mother from the pool, and telling her he was lounging at the GF with a Strawberry Daiquiri (virgin of course!)
