So, with St. Patrick's day so close, anyone doing anything special?
Cooking anything good?

:welcome: party: I will have my son who will still be 1( 1 week away from 2 on the cruise). My sister has a daughter who is 10. She will be on the cruise as well. It is going to be great!

My TA made a phone call to someone he deals with alot at DCL today, and was able to find out that right now, 39% of staterooms on the CC Labor Day Doubledip have deposits on them.

Just an FYI.

:thumbsup2 Thank you for the heads-up. We currently just have DH listed on the stateroom because we upgraded to a suite and wanted to keep the extra cash in our bank and not theirs. When should we add everyone else? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I wouldn't wait too long to add everyone else, especially if you are adding children. They only allow so many adult/children combos on the ship and someone in your family may not get to go.

MMMMM, green cookies. I should make a batch of shamrock sugar cookies, lol, but I would eat them all myself..:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
I am addicted to those things..just can't stop at one :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2 My DD4 would eat them right along with you! She loves sugar cookies of any color. I am 1/2 Irish (Father's side), I remember he use to make Corned Beef and Cabbage on St. Patrick's Day. :goodvibes Yum! Yum! I loved it with mustard. However, I would be the only one eating it here. So, I guess I need to come up with an alternative for Saturday's dinner. Any suggestions on something the kids would eat too, but keeping with the "Irish" spirit?:shamrock:

:tinker: Jennifer

I agree with Cheryl. Also, if the prices start to go up, you will pay the higher rate for everyone except your husband.

Just to let Peter, Tracy, Cheryl and the others know.....I'm trying to work on Mom to join you guys on this cruise....but remember its during hurricane season and we all know her feelings about that!!!!!

Bob and I are still trying to decide what to cook although we will probably fall back on our old standby, Guiness Lamb stew, soda bread, green beer and a little Celtic Crossing to top it all off.

We are going to be boring...
Corned Beef and cabbage along with soda bread. Maybe green beer.d

Elaine, KEWL!!!!

Peter, is that one of the life boat suites?????

Welcome Aboard to you new folks

I've cruised in a hurricane! It was no big deal! Tell her she needs to meet me

And I would definately share with your daughter.

I get my recipes from foodnetwork.com. The Lamb stout casserole is fantastic, you family would love it. We make it every year, and up until last night we were going to make it again. I guess I am switching to lamb chops, colcannon (those wonderful mashed potatoes), soda bread, the irish cheeses, etc. Good luck with your menu, time to dig out the decorations..lol.

Elaine,

Tell your mom we love cruising in September, we have the best weather and the calmest seas.

Would love to see you both.

That's not boring, lol. Do you see how long it takes to actually make(pickle) the corn beef..lol. Bob wanted me to do it, I said no way.
