Every time I read the word 'fish extender' I have to think thanks to Debbie or EpcotKilterFan. She was the one responsible for the whole thing. She gave these out on the Panama westbound cruise.

Thanks for reposting the fish extender instructions. I must have missed it earlier. This will definitely make the cruise even more fun.

Hi everyone, i am so sorry i have been MIA.

For those who don't know.. i got back from a DCL trip in jan.. and it was great at first, then went downhill. This was our first cruise, and we awoke on one night with about 30ft waves, the closet doors slamming - bathroom doors slamming,and the whole ship slamming! LOL IT was not pretty. Yes, i got sick once.. and then the next 2 days following were rough as well (mabye 20 foot seas).. i never got sick anymore, although i did sleep on deck 9 with my blanket and pillow til 2:30am b/c the fresh air helped.. I got LOTS of looks too!
Then, the last day - CC day, it was overcast and cool (only about 60) as me and my dd were going to feed the stingrays it started to rain..
Then the sun came out for about 10min, then it started to pour.
But this time, i was really really bummed (b/c it looked as if the clouds/rain was there to stay) and we walked back to the ship about noon..
It was hard for me to hide my utter disappointment, as the day i have looked forward to for 18 months, was a waste. So, there we were, on deck 9, drinking hot coffee to warm up (not to mention it was WINDY!!) and staring at this beautiful island that was like a tease.
My only saving grace was knowing that i would get another chance on this cruise in Sept.
Well, then life happened.. I decided to close up my retail business.. and got a *gulp* job. Mind you, i love my new job - administrative assistant, at a church. I work 25 hrs a week, M-F 9-2. Weekends off!! However, with a trip planned to California in a few weeks, and a trip to WDW booked for Thanksgiving, i didn't want to push my luck asking for another time off for this cruise..
DH pushed me to cancel. I honestly wanted to cry as i called my MIL to tell her.
But, as a *responsible* new worker, i just didn't want to upset my new job..

Well......... Today, at work, i was telling the girl who is training me for her spot, about my cancelled trip.. and she pointed out that the Thanksgiving trip is only 3 days of missed work (Thurs. and Fri. Holiday), and that i should really talk to the pastor, and she didn't think it would be a problem at all..
Ok, now my wheels are spinning.. i had already accepted the fact that we wouldn't be going.. and here was a small possibility!
So, i went in and chatted with the pastor. She was amazed that i would even bother to cancell! She told me outright that i should GO! She said that we "all need some Sabbath time" I thought that was awesome!! And, i do get a week vacation paid, so this will be it! Then, b/c i am only taking 4 days instead of 5 (monday being a paid holiday) that one of my days for TG trip will be paid, so i will only lose 2 days without pay!

So, as soon as i left work at 2, i called my MIL, and she was thrilled that we can go!! As was i! Since she hadn't called to cancel us yet.
So, now it looks like my second chance trip is back on!!

That's the LONG story of why i haven't been around.. i just couldn't bear to come on here yet and type that i wasn't going! Now, looks like i don't have to!
