Speaking of the Jedi Training Academy...

So, when we first heard about the JTA DH immediately said he'd be doing it. He was seriously crushed when he heard he couldn't cause he's too old. To further his disappointment, we have no sons, so DD(5) has to take up the slack. Do girls often volunteer? How often are they chosen (I know there are WAY more boys wanting to do it)?

When my ds did it there were a handful of girls that participated too. I didn't notice that they were chosen any less often but there were just less of them in the audience.

My DD7 was chosen last summer - she had a great time! We jumped up and down and made sure she was noticed when the guy was scanning the crowd for kids. She got to fight Darth Vader and we have some great photos.

I agree...if adults were able to do it, I'd be right there too.

Now if we can find a way to get more boys into the Princess Fantasy Faire everything can equal out.

My girls LOVED participating in JTA! My youngest dd used a sign that said "Padewan Princess" and got picked immediately.

The times we have been, there were lots of girls chosen. I don't think boys were given ANY preference over girls.

DD7 was Princess Amadala for halloween. So she wore her costume and was one of the first ones picked. The photos are awesome!! Hope you DD gets and opportunity!!!

My DD was chosen too. It seems they kept the groups pretty even with a mix of boys and girls.

She fought Darth Sith but didn't know who he was because she had never seen any of the movies he was in. So she was a little disappointed she didn't get to fight Vader.
