What I do think is that these parents have been (and continue to be) in the darkest depths of hades that most of us parents will fortunately never be. I know a lot of people question their decision to have children so soon after the accident, but I feel like I am in absolutely no position to judge them. None. I can only imagine that after losing their 3 children the thought of joining them in heaven crossed their minds so many times. Perhaps for them the only way to go on was to have more children here on earth to love. I don't know- I can't speak for them. But unless or until I find myself in their position (shudder) I'm certainly not going to think anything but positive thoughts for them.

Sorry for the mini-rant. This story has affected me very deeply and I think about Lori and Chris every day.

I am unfamiliar with this case. Did they use fertility drugs to conceive the triplets? If not then I believe that the triplets could be the souls of the first 3 who had not finished learning their life lessons and needed to return. I think we all choose our lives and know the outcome when we are born. HOWEVER, I am a little hazy on why the three would return so soon unless they were not supposed to die when they did and had unfintished goals they needed to accomplish with their current family. Each time a soul returns it is to accumulate more life lessons in order to ascend to a higher plain.

No... that begins with a gross misunderstanding of how human procreation works and ends with a confused assumption about how God works... and the three dead children are not angels - angels are created beings, they are not former humans who were "good enough" when they died. Angels have been around since before creation if you believe the Bible and have never been, nor ever will be, human.
