This is such a DUH! I didn't even think about March being cool weather and my kids not being able to just romp around in their swimsuits. I thought CA=WARM
So I read that the pools are heated but I'm sure we won't be able to use them as much as I thought since my toddler will be in/out of the wading pool at the HoJo alot. BRRRR
So what can I expect in general for March weather? I know I have a higher chance of rain but what about temps?
We are in WA so used to moderate temps like 50s as great weather-is this what it's like?
thanks

I am from Las Vegas and I personally would not be swimming in March unless you hit some unseasonably HOT days which does happen. For instance one January I went it was in the 90's, even at night we didn't need sweatshirts and wore tanktops. But it will be okay, as long as the pool is heated, you should really only be cold on the way back to the room providing it is warm out.

I personally would not let my kids in an outdoor pool no matter how heated unless it was atleast 70 degrees out. I think you will have to swim in the exact middle of the day if you get to, I know in March I wouldn't be swimming after the sun goes down! Some people do, but then some people are insane!!

So take your suits, but I wouldn't get your hopes up TOO high!!

I'm going the last week of March through the first week of April. I'm hoping we can swim.:beach:

We did go in the pool - mid March. Mostly spent time in the hot tub. It was a little chilly. Rained 3 of the 4 days at the park. We didn't find that too bad, being from WA. We just packed the rain gear and got on a lot of rides as the park cleared out. My kids are true NW and play in the rain all the time. It was shorts weather during the day and nippy in the evening. We do the park from start to finish so the last few hours are cold. Just wear a lot of layers.

We stayed at DLH last March 30-Apr 4 and the highs were in the 60s and the lows in the 50s. It rained a few of the days and we actually bought ponchos because of it. The DLH pool at that time was not heated. My kids didn't seem to mind (we swam all 5 days) so long as they stayed in the pool. It was a chilly walk up to the slide though. Dh and I pretty much stayed in the hot tub which did get quite crowded.

We were just there last week and swam. Yes, it was cold getting out, but as long as the pool is heated I have no problem with it especially when you realize that a lot of ski resorts have outdoor pools that people use in the winter. We have never gotten sick from swimming in a heated outdoor pool, even when it is chilly.

As to weather. We used to live in SoCal and March can get soggy.

It was definitely chilly  but at least we were the only ones in the pool and hot tub, both days. I would think that Anaheim in March would be warmer; tell your kids that they might not be able to use the pool, but bring bathing suits anyway. Heck, they'd probably enjoy even just 15 minutes in there! :thumbsup2
