I am just curious what seems to be the average age to have your first.

I am 26 years old and getting married in 6 weeks!!! We both can't wait to have a family, however we are now starting to realize the value of waiting and working on both of our careers first so we can provide the one parent home lifestyle we want to.

I am applying to law school for next fall, if I get in I won't graduate until I am 29/turning 30 years old. I would like to get a couple of hardcore working years in before having children so we can have one of us home from work.....

how old is "too" old to start? we would like two or three, possibly adopting the 3rd or 4th....

Thanks!!!

Married at 29, baby at 34. My OB had a patient who had her "first" at 40.

I turned 31 2 weeks after my first DD was born. I was 36 with my second DD and 38 with my third DD. I am now 39.

Well, my first son was adopted when I was 32 (almost 33) and my twins were born 5 months ago. I'm almost 39.

I had DD 6 days before I turned 22. I got married young (at 19) and she was unplanned.

I still haven't "had" my first, but we got our first when I was 22.

Thirty-two. I enjoyed having those years when it was just the two of us. I might have had kids a year or two earlier, but not much sooner than that - I just wasn't ready.

I don't have children but a co-worker of mine had her daughter at age 44. Both are fine, with no major complications.

My DS, Bobby was born 2 months after my 21st birthday. Yes, I was young, and yes, he was a surprise, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I was married at 23, 1st (planned) at 25, and second (planned) at 28.

DH is 5 1/2 years older than me.

I had my first DD 2 months after turning 19, I had second dd at 27.
I got married at age 18.

***still happily married after all these years!***
