Did you book your trip thru AAA? If so you will receive a AAA discount card (not your normal AAA card) that gives you discounts on specific items/services in the world. For instance you would get a discount on rentals (boats, bikes) at some of the resorts, and a percentage off at the big store in DTD and at Planet Hollywood. There are more discounts but I don't have the info here. If you didn't book thru AAA I don't think you will get the card and I don't think there are any discounts (other than on rooms) without the card. I hope this helps a little
Thank you Tink n Pooh! I did NOT book through AAA. I am actually staying off property at the Marriott village. SO, it sounds like the answer to my question is no....OH well.
Thanks again!!
Donna, I am a member, booked thru central directly to get room discount, but what is this parking pass all about? Should I get this for special parking if I use my car onsite? Will be traveling with little ones.....
Don't count on getting a parking pass from AAA if you haven't bought a package from them. I have never been able to get one without booking from them. I have bought tickets for the park but have been told in two different states as a matter of fact that they are only for those who are booking through them.
Disney_Me has just been lucky from what I can tell because at our office they won't even give you a map without seeing your card and PA was the same when we lived there. I am going to check for our trip this year in case it did change but last Easter they wouldn't give them out.

Linda, the AAA diamond parking pass let you park near the entrance to the parks. This way you do not have to wait for a tram. You park almost by the handicap parking. We love they!!
I will keep asking for the pass at my local AAA here in Delaware. If I'm told no, I'll stop.
Go back to your AAA Linda and ask for your Diamond parking pass

We are members of AAA here in KY and we've never heard of the Diamond Parking Pass. We usually wait until we're in Orlando to buy the park tickets b/c we only go to like 1 or 2 Disney parks each vacation. Does AAA have one-day Disney tickets that I don't know about?
I am so glad that I checked this thread! I booked tickets through AAA and I got my package but never gave a moments notice to the parking pass! I didn't realize that it gave any advantage! I just thought it was strange that they gave me a pass to park for free when I was staying at the park and could park free anyway! Thanks to all of you!
Now, one question...Is the parking really that good? And, who do I show the ticket to and when?
After you pay to park, you show the parking "director" (I guess that what they are called ) your AAA parking pass. They will have you go another way to the AAA parking spots.
Look, They don't get you right up front but they do park you close enough that you don't have to take the trams. You can walk to the main gates.
I have used them 2x last year, never was asked for a members card at my AAA here in Delaware (don't have one), gave my last one to a family from England to use their last few days and will get another AAA parking pass when we return to Disney in 2007.
I say give it a try If your turned down by your local AAA for not being a member, you can buy one on ebay for like $50.00
People really do sell them on ebay .................crazy
