Lately I have seen folks tromping around in WDW it some sparkley sneakers that looks like converse that have been bedazzled...I have a very special project for a set of these sneakers if I can find out who makes them and where to get them if anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it!!!
Thanks Ya'll!

Just realize that those sneakers (and all shoes that flash randomly) are tres annoyant in dark rides... almost as bad as flash photography...

IMHO, of course.

I have a pair of sequin Converse which were made by Converse which I bought from a shop named Office in the UK.

I wouldn't wear them to Disney though, mine are for special occasions only!

Are you talking about Sketchers twinkle toes?
That is what I thought of when I read the OP message :) DD loves these shoes, but yep I can see how in some dark rides this could get pretty annoying if someone likes to keep hitting their shoes on the floor, the ride sides, against their own sides :)

If you are talking about the sequined and bedazzled Converse, you can get a plain sequined version at most Journeys stores. You can create your own sneakers at converse.com, but I don't know if that includes the blingy ones. If all else fails, I've seen shoes such as these sold on etsy.com so you might be able to find a crafty person on there to do them for you!!!!

Like the pp above me, I just bought my daughter a pair from Journey's. Depending on size, they have several colors.

actually I was looking for adult sizes...I guess I should have specified...sorry...

I have some sparkly converse, if that's what you mean. They make adult sizes. just google sequin converse or something, you can get them online. Check the converse website, other shoe websites, department stores. they're quite easy to find!

I HATE those twinkle toe shoes! We saw tons of them a few weeks ago and while it wasn't so bad if the kids were just walking around but if they were in your row in a dark theater or the case of 3 little girls wearing them on a bus at 10pm and they just had to keep them flashing...Too bright, too annoying and now I'm just kind of waiting to hear that someone is suing because they had a seizure from them or something.

My daughter has the really sparkly Converse. They're the old Converse Chuck Taylor style and like others she got hers at Journey's. She wears an adult size and has black, purple and a pink pair. They're not what I would call sequined or bedazzled though but they are very shiny. No blinking lights as others have mentioned. As a PP stated you can design your own at the Converse website.

Well here is the project... one of my very best friends has been diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer and we have had to postpone our trip until the fall...during our late night calls when she is fighting the pain or the fear we jump into plans of our trip...our latest plan is to goto the bibbity bobbity boutique and get all done up, have some t-shirts made of our fav princesses since we don't really want to want to do the costume and I want to surprise her with the sparkly sneakers...I have some time to search so I want to find just the right ones...no flashy lights please and again these are for adults who are perpetually kids...
I want to make her feel like a million bucks she deserves it after all she has gone thru so far and the long road she has to truck in the very near future...thank you disboard friends for helping me find the perfect surprise!:worship:

My DD(4) has these, she has the ones that look like converse shoes, they are bedazzled but they do not light up. She adores them and wears them every day, calls them her "sprinkle shoes."

I am sure twinkle toes suck on dark rides. I am here to say, they are worse when you are driving home in the dark an the little blue lights keep going off and on in the backseat!

Sorry! I could just imagine how much damage Disney would do to them! I am a little bit precious about them! Plus I have to wear my most supportive shoes at Disney (I have bad feet!).

However what the OP said sounds like a very special occasion! I hope you find some in the US!

Ditto this!!

Both my girls have them... one twinkles blue and one twinkles red. Always great in the car on the way home.

And to PP who complained about them on the bus... those light up spinning things they sell at Disney are WAY worse on the bus at night and more likely to cause a seizure.

FWIW ~ my girls would never wear these for park touring!!

This sounds like a great idea. The Converse site, Journeys, or Hot Topic should be able to accommodate you! I think I've seen pink sparkly ones.

Almost? Try worse! We took two pair for my DD5 to wear last month. Fortunately, she is able to keep her feet still when she is instructed to do so! They were BRIGHT on Peter Pan. All it took was one "kick" and I told her to be still. :rotfl:

They are GREAT for keeping up with her at night though. I can always spot her feet before her head!

That's a giant pet peeve of mine. Nothing worse than seeing a strobing, spinning, light-up toy on a dark bus.

She's really fortunate to have a great friend like you who 'gets it" and wants to help her have a totally awesome time! Sparkle on ladies and have a trip that's practically perfect in every way!
