Saw some today at Walmart. They had adult and kids sizes. Pink, black or silver sequins over the whole converse style shoe except the rounded toe which was white rubber. They were low tops. Sorry didn't see the price. DD really wanted a pair but nothing in her size. I would not think they'd be comfortable for touring but for a few hours of dress up time they would be great.

I got my silver ones at kohl's but I haven't seen them lately- maybe more of a summer item- look online- They are converse and I wear a size 10!

Try TOMS shoes . They are slip on shoes that come in sparkly gold,silver,black and pink. My daughter has 3 pairs in different styles. They are a charity organization and for every pair sold they donate a pair of shoes. I actually thought that the lights I saw on the bus WERE from the spinning flashing toys.

We were in one of the buses that, were you looking from the back to the front, had the back row of 3 raised seats, 4 seats in front of that (2 facing front and 2 facing back), and another 4 seats on the left that were raised (again, 2 facing front and 2 facing back). The family had a lot of bags and whatnot so I couldn't see what was making all the lights until they got off the bus, then I saw that it was the shoes. I was convinced it WAS one of the spinny toys but no, just really bright shoes.

I am sure twinkle toes suck on dark rides. I am here to say, they are worse when you are driving home in the dark an the little blue lights keep going off and on in the backseat!

You guys are great! These are all great suggestions but still not the ones I saw (imagine that!) These were actually bedazzeled with crystals maybe like the UK poster was talking about being so precious...I did see the sequin converse and may just have to go with those...UNLESS...I see some poor unwitting soul with them at disney again and stalk them and find out where they got them from...I thought about doing them myself but I am afraid it will end up like some of my other art projects...wah wah wah...I am going to see her soon and if she is up to it we might go into the city (NYC or maybe Atlantic City) where they might have some more outrageous stuff...no offense to those who live there; we have tacky florida stuff here, shell frame anyone?!
Keep the suggestions coming please and the blinky lights I'm with you all...it was against the law in my house for my son to have those, I know I am a horrible mom!

A few years back a different kind of light up sneakers were in fad. Funny story I recall form that time....


A guy robbed a store wearing blinking shoes, then ran off in the woods! The police had no trouble finding him!


Blinking shoes are just another fad. Hopefully they will be shortlived like the laser pointer fad, the previous blinking hsoes fad, and the roller skate shoe fad. All of which were annoying at WDW. Americans can be so self-absorbed sometimes.

YES!! DD's lights up with both blue & red lights and the very first time she wore them we were in the cat at night & she kicked the seat and those things lit up so frigging bright that I swore there was a police car behind me, pulling me over. I nearly had a heart attack.

My daughter has had both kinds of Skechers TwinkleToes -- the light up and non light up kind. One night our cat was playing with them when we had gone to bed. I kept seeing a flash and thought somebody was outside looking in our house with a flashlight! LOL Lelli Kelly's are embellished sneakers, but don't think they make them for adults.
