No it's not scary. It is dark but I would say it is more educational and informative than scary. At 7 and 9 the kids will understand what it's all about, a journey through the history of communication.
My niece was 9 when she rode and she loved this ride! You do go backwards in your little tram car but it is a very slow moving ride. It is one of our faves, very informative yet fun, not scary at all!
I rode this in its original version (although not much changed) when I was 6 years old. Definitely not scary as said above. Informative and kind of cute. I am sure they will enjoy it... be sure to breathe in the smell at Rome though... always so neat! I am sure you all will enjoy it
I would do this ride for no other reason than they are most likely reprofiling the entire attraction if and when Project Gemini starts. The attraction is so horribly outdated that it has to be changed (the internet is the future )
My kids were 8 & 5 when they first went and they loved it..we went on it 10 times that trip and the following year we rode it 4 times .. it our must see in Epcot.. dark in parts but not scary - its tells how technology has evolved - tablets - printing press / newpapers to the video phones .. pretty neat Michelle
We love spaceship earth, then again we're into all the corny rides, CoP, iasw, ect... My kids (6&9) like to ride in the front and pretend they're driving mom and dad around in the spaceship, while we cuddle in the backseat. We don't get carried away though, CMs are lurking in the shadows watching our every move!
