I rode on Sunday and I am eager to hear from more people because I was stunned by how awful it was. First, when you get to the mammoths there are huge vertical lines that go from top to bottom of the screen in various places. It looks like the seams where screens come together maybe? I don't remember ever seeing that before.
Also, they did nothing to improve the interactive video at the end. Same stories, same choices, same narration "that we happen to know about." And they have not fixed the problem with pictures not appearing. In our car, the two on the left did not have pictures in the scenes just the generic cartoon faces.
But the worst thing was the LIGHT! I don't know if they cleaned the lights, upgraded to LED lights, or just got increased wattage, but it is too bright in all the dark areas. I saw railings, walls, steps, doors, areas of empty floor -- everywhere it should be dark, it just isn't. For example, when you first enter the ride where it takes your picture, if you look up you can now see the mesh netting that contains all the lights, where in the past you just saw the lights. For another example, under all of the white lights hanging down on "your return to earth," now you can clearly see all the cords from all the lights. It's impossible not to notice them and it ruins the whole effect.
At the very end, the black fabric on the walls is so visible that you can see the places where it isn't laying flat.
It was so disappointing all around. Somebody needs to go in there and turn off about half the lights!
