Did they mainstream the handicapped access or do you still go in the exit?

You still go in the exit. This has to do more with the boarding procedures rather than the accessibilty of the line. They would rather thave the stopping controlled from one location and also it is easier to manage people wheelchairs at the exit area.

Thanks Cheshire! I kind of thought that it hadn't changed but I figured I'd check.

I don't mind boarding there at all.

Here's a photo montage that shows the waiting area right before the attraction re-entered. Because of the way it boards, it would not be feasible to make Spaceship Earth into a mainstream line.

I have to say that the wait for the w/c entrance was longer than the regular line. So, the second time I went, I opted to park my chair and walk thru the normal line because it said only a 10 minute wait. BIG mistake. I left my chair outside the queue. You exit inside. The wait for the ride did not do me in. The exit did. It seemed like a long walk to get out. Once off the ride, the CM at the w/c entrance remembered me and said "Hey, where's your chair?" (in a joking way) I told him that I decided to try walking on and was already regretting it. He let me sit on the bench at the w/c entrance while my ds16 walked all the way around SE to get my chair and bring it to me. There is no way I could have made it back to my chair.

For those of you who sometimes leave your chair and walk it, this is not a ride to do that on. JMHO

What a thoughtful cast member! Coming from the UK i always appreciate how they look after people in wheelchairs as its just not the same here.

We always seem to time it wrong at the exit and get there just as a group has gone on! usually the cast members have a chat with us while we wait which is really nice.

We rode it 2 times 2 weeks ago. The first time just me, DW, and DS, me with ecv. We didn't know how it worked, so just left ecv outside "backdoor". We did get right on tho, and had DW get it for me when it was over. The second time that day, relatives met us there and there were 5 of us. I took ecv in and parked by the benches. CM was cool and asked my little cousin 5yrs old for his name, and made him captain of our SE trip. They called his name and made him decide who rode with who, and made him lead us up the ramp, he thought it was pretty cool.
