A while back I saw it was supposed to be reopened this winter. Then they changed it to February 18th. But now the WDW website is saying it will be open starting Dec. 1st. Do you think that's true??? I hope so!!

EDIT:
Nevermind. My internet connection is horrible tonight. I thought the January calendar info page had loaded but it was still the November one. I'm dumb...haha. I got excited because a new article I received in an email from Disney mentioned Spaceship Earth reopening in Winter. I suppose February is still Winter. Boo. I wanted to go inside since I haven't been there in 12 years.

I was at EPCOT yestreday...CM in front of SE said it will re-open the middle of Feb.

:sad1:
We will be there dec 11-18th and I was so excited that it would be done in time for our trip, now the latest news of February just makes me so sad. But it gives me something to look forward to for the next trip

Spaceship Earth is an absolute favorite of mine so I'll be missing it greatly when we visit in late Nov./early Dec. Epcot just won't seem the same without a visit to it.

I haven't been inside it since 1995. I barely remember it. Who knows when I'll ever go back. We have a trip in January but then I don't forsee us going back anytime within the next 5-10 years. We'll probably have kids in a couple years and we'll wait until they're older before we go back.

Does anyone know what they are doing to it or have a link for the info?

any chance they will do a early sneak peak opening to work out any possible bugs like they did with EE, for APH or DVC members?

we leave Disney Feb. 17 and move up to USO, would love to see the changes and not have to wait till next year.

Any word on what the changes will be?
I think they may be getting a different sponsor-it was always AT&T (I think) now I keep seeing"Seimans" connnected to it. What does "sEimans" do are they another telecommunications company?

So confusong-where is Ma Bell?

Apparently spaceship earth will be getting new ride veichles, a new sound track, narration and new scenes as well as updates to what they already have. I loved SE just the way it was but was getting run down a little and need to be fixed up. So I am very excited about it. I hope that they treat it just like they treated the HM rehab (Which is amazing).
From what I read siemens is a tec. company that deals in all sorts of things (power generation, lighting, water techonologies, transportation, computers) a bunch of things.
As for Ma Bell....
"The Bell System was a trademark and service mark used by the United States telecommunications company American Telephone & Telegraph Company (AT&T) and its affiliated companies to co-brand their extensive circuit-switched telephone network and their affiliations with each other. The telephone system had a near-monopoly on the U.S. telephone market until its divestiture in 1984.[1] The Bell System was commonly called by the nickname Ma Bell"

So basical all those little phone companys were part of "MA Bell" and they were called "Baby Bells". It's really funny you asked about this because my grandfather worked for the phone company for years. We had just been talking to this and I asked the same question. Also If i've gotten the info wrong please feel free to jump in and correct me :)

Bummer! I thought it was going to be open for a few months until after New Year's. Guess I'm not going on it this trip! :(
