The difference currently is that dining locations in the parks are only offering dining during park hours. This could change but at this time things are just different, including early morning ADRs.
Our last trip was December 2019 and we were watching and crossing our fingers it would be open! It was said to be by winter 2019! So so so crazy that it is still not open!

Well, I was hoping for September 2019. Then March 2020. Then June 2021-my next trip after this June will be June 2023, and SURELY I can ride Remy and Cosmic Rewind, eat at Space 220, and maybe even see HarmoniUS! If you can dream it you can do it!!
There were already delays last spring before the pandemic shut down. Considering that they haven’t reopened all of the already established restaurants in Epcot, I would guess that Space 220 restaurant is not at the top of the list.
And, every time I see this thread pop up again I get excited for absolutely no reason at all…
The worst part is when someone posts something to the thread that does not really add any information - but still brings the thread up to the top, making it appear that there may be some new information.
This has been a carrot hanging from a string for wayyyy too long. It really shouldn't be this hard for Disney to open a restaurant. The delays pre-covid were already silly bad. What really heavily themed in-park resturaunt has good food anyway? Maybe Tusker House, but it's not that heavily themed... most pale in-comparison to certain resort restaurants or Dis Springs eateries.
