As I've gotten older, I very much prefer the smoothness of Tron - it's more enjoyable on my body! That doesn't mean I don't sneak on SM now and then, but Tron is my preference.
Tron is smooth and feels faster, as I age SM jerkiness hurts the back - that said I still love SM and do it every visit to MK at least once, mostly twice.
It's hard to vote against classic favorite Space Mountain, but it's also hard to argue that it is superior to TRON as a ride. I think conceptually, I prefer the ol' Mountain though.
I rode SM last trip, but skipped Tron. SM is more fun to me. Tron is fast, but short. I prefer Guardians, Hagrids and Velocicoaster at Universal to Tron.
Seems like others are like me. I usually ride SM once because my nephew loves it, but I hate it. Way too rough and jerky.
Not all that impressed with Tron either actually. The launch and outdoor part are fun. that’s about it. I’d still choose Tron for the smooth ride though.
They both left me in pain! Against my better judgement, we did SM during MNSSHP when its pitch black, left feeling quite stiff! Skipped Tron this year after riding 3x the year before—they seating is so awkward on my neck and shoulder blades that I was throwing back ibuprofen for the rest of the trip. May try the stand car at the end of the train if we ride it next trip.
