Space Mountain is now open!

Friends were at DL this morning and got to ride it. Lines were long, of course. But at least it's open once again! I hope to squeeze in a ride this Sunday.

You basically go in the exit (past where the ride photos are) and turn left down a hallway that goes directly to the loading area. I'm not sure if it's marked or not, so you might need to ask a CM where to go if you don't see a sign.

Interesting. It has been open every time I've visited. Although I am only visiting on weekends, so maybe it closes other times of the week? I'm often also the only person in the line!

It was closed the most recent Saturday I tried (Feb 23). We came back later and it was open. It was closed around 7:30pm. We rode Nemo Subs and tried afterwards and it had opened back up.

They didn’t say so I presume it’s standard SM. If it were anything else, I think they would mentioned it.

We're hoping it will be HyperSpace Mountain for May the 4th weekend. We thought maybe that's why its been closed.

They close it if the lines gets too long in the lower hallway. It’s also typically closed if the ride has recently been offline.

FWIW, my friends went on Friday and it was definitely still Space Mountain. However, as I recall, the changeover takes less than a day now. It seems that I was there one day in the past few years and it closed it the morning and before I left, it was open as HSM. It seems that it’s only a matter of hours now.

SM was closed for a scheduled refurb. There are threads discussing this in this forum. So glad this ride is back!
