Space Mountain for a 6 year old?

Thanks for all the replies I think I'm just nervous since she can't sit next to me it kinda freaks me out letting her sit alone

DS likes to sit in the back and our running joke in the family when we pull into the unloading platform is that I yell back "are you still back there". He giggles everytime and I usually get a "mom, where do you think I would be :rolleyes2".

DD rode it for the first time at 6yo. Two years before, BTMRR was WAY too much for her, pretty much ruined a whole evening after we rode it, lol! So she must have done a lot of growing up in those two years, because she loved Space Mountain.

DS rode it this year for the 1st time and LOVED it! He's 5-1/2. He's a thrill seeker though, and has been riding Big Thunder for a couple years now.

DD, who is much more nervous and worried, also liked it for the 1st time at age 7. She also liked Big Thunder at age 4. She HATES the big coasters at Six Flaggs though. Space Mountain is pretty mild....just kinda jerky and very dark.

You never know until you try. Show a youtube video and she what the kid says. Let them choose.

My DD rode it for the first time last year on our last day at MK. She was 6 and just a little pass 40 inch in height. She loved so much. We rode back to back 3 times. She blamed her for not taking her on our first day there. This year, we are hitting all the mountains.

The first time I rode it, I was 5 at DL and I loved it! I wasn't a very adventurous kid to be honest and it was great. I was terrified of The Jungle Cruise and Country Bear Jamboree, but nope SM was a-okay with me :rotfl2:

My ds is very big for his age. He went on at 4 and has loved it ever since. He is a major thrill ride boy. My dd went on at 6. She is much milder, cautious, and frightened by scary rides like Dinosaur or Mission Space, but she also loves it.

When my 5 year old daughter rode it for the first time, I actually spent the whole ride leaning over her seat holding her shoulders down. I just do not have confidence in the restraints for that ride. As rough as the ride is, you can imagine how sore my arms, shoulders, and neck were after that.

She loved it though.

My son rode Space Mountain DL about a month after turning 4, smaller ride restriction at DL, I was nervous about him sitting by himself, but found out at loading that it's a two seater at DL, anyway he didn't like it and now will not go on the one at DW, he's now 6. Just be careful of putting them off, as one poster wrote they went on, at I believe 6, and didn't go again until 16.

I did the same thing. DGD wanted me to hold her hands through the entire ride so I leaned forward and had my hands on her. Man was that rough. Hated that ride, so did DH. DGD loved it but she won't be riding it unless someone else opts to take her. I can't handle it.
