Space Mountain: Clothing Optional - All done and true even if it is April Fool's

So some sad news for fans of the Deadliest Catch as well as family and friends of a guy who spoke his mind and loved and lived hard!

The Captain of the Cornelia Marie died today at 53 years old.

Rest in Peace Phil Harris. Too young and yet what a life he lived while here!

I'm gonna miss him... Deadliest Catch won't be the same without him... RIP Phil...

Caught up finally. How was date night? What show did you see? I always want to know what theatre people are going to. I work in theatre so I can't afford to go see it. :confused3 I know, it's weird. I started doing it because I love it but now I'm too poor to see what others are doing. I got to see [Title of Show] on Saturday because I got free tickets. Clearly, I need a sponsor for my life. Anyway, love the update and can't wait to hear about date night!

She is thinking about going to Anderson. Treyner is not so sure he want's his Lil sister in his business and she him in her's but I would love it!

I was adamantly opposed to going to the same school as my older sister (we are two years apart in age but one year apart in school)...but ended up there anyway for financial/scholarship reasons. Not that we weren't friends in high school but in college we really became best friends and it ended up being an awesome choice for me! We are still best friends, in fact I need to go make a move on her in iphone scrabble right now....

I've never been to Starring Rolls but have heard about the Butterfinger cupcakes. :worship:

So sad about Capt. Phil. I read about it on Twitter and sounded like he was doing better.

My brother and I went to the same college - even ended up living in the same dorm for a year before I moved off-campus. In some ways it was great - I kept an eye on him during Freshman year and found him some dates, he took care of me when I got really sick, etc. In other ways, it wasn't so great - parents thought we would "tell" on each other, etc. I think it ended up being mostly positives for me though. I guess you would have to ask him how he felt. Oh, and we went to a small, state school so people knew both of us. We were pretty close in High School though too - same circle of friends, hung out a lot. It was the last time we were that close. I kind of miss it.

Chapter Six - "Tazing a Cockroach"

Our superstuds were last left…finishing off cupcakes and treats to nourish their svelte bodies. So any further pictures would show them slim and trim!

Carsyn was not answering her phone or the hotel phone and so I decided I would give her 20 minutes more to be out of the shower if she was in it and then I would start to worry. :thumbsup2 We decided to head over to TSM. On the way…Treyner threatened to help Baylor with brain damage!

P1030318.jpg

We got inline for TSM and although we were in the FP line and it was short, I fretted on and off. I should have known myself well enough at 38 to know I cannot shut of the head and not worry. I was in the uterus worrying...couldn’t decide to stay or go so my Mother ended up in hard labor for 4 days with me. (hmmm…maybe that is why she dislikes me…Paging Dr. Freud…Dr. Freud line 1...line 1 Dr. Freud!) :lmao:

I did snap some pictures of the wait line area and the boys…

P1030329.jpg

Ummmm…If you are playing alone with ants in your pants can I call Peta? ;)

We rode and as usual I got slaughtered by the boys. Treyner beat Dan though and the competition for the trip was game on. Dan tried to blame arthritis, carpal tunnel, the mumps, early onset of parkinsons and every other thing her could think of for the reason he lost.

I told him it was simple.

He sucked! :thumbsup2

We went outside and grabbed some pictures quick!

Chapter Six - Cockroach Continued

It was now that I tried Carsyn again and there was still no answer. I was starting to worry. A lot.

So Dan and I told the boys to go ride TSM again and we were going to call till we got Carsyn.

After 10 times on each number, I asked the CBR operator if someone could check on her - because I was worried we were wasting time and the bussing would take a bit to get there.

She said they would be able to have security do a welfare check. 2 guards would go into the room. :scared1:

I said, if we have no luck in a few more minutes, that would be fine.

Now if I did not know she could sleep through being mauled by a bear, I would absolutely freaked out. I would have not hesitated to get security involved. However, this is Carsyn and she is a different nut altogether. I could just imagine Barney Fife and his 76 year old deputy assistant busting into the room… :scared: expecting a crime scene and this being the most exciting thing in their 2 year career as Disney security, only to find out Carsyn was snoring and asleep in a tank top and short shorts, oblivious to 729 calls.

I was not sure what to do.

The boys came out, we explained the sichiashun and we decided to leave and head to the resort and they would stay - see the stunt show and we would end up back together later.

They left and not 2 minutes later as I am pushing my way through the crowd by the sorcerers hat….guess who calls? :confused3

Yup, Sleeping Beauty. :sad2:

She said,
“I missed your call?”

I said, “Yes you did. Like 1000 of them and the hotel ones too. I was getting ready to have security bust in the room with tazers because I thought something happened to you.”

“You honestly think Disney allows the old guys to carry tazers? Mom seriously I think you are exaggerating a bit.”:teacher:

“Well maybe they have slingshots and after they played rock, paper , scissors to decide which one had enough Geritol in them to kick the door open, you would have been sorry for not hearing a phone 2 feet from your head.” :snooty:

“Sorry, I had my phone on silent and I did not hear the hotel one. Anyway, where are you guys at. I am going to shower and head over.”

So there ended by a hair the embarrassment of her life and I did not even get a Thank You for being a good Mom and not worrying so much as to have security bust in like most caring parents would have but instead delayed sending aid if I was really in trouble because you knew I am hopeless and helpless when it comes to waking up. Sorry for causing your hair to fall out over stress that you would be on the 6 o’clock news as a horrible non caring parent who let her daughter choke to death at WDW on a throat lozenge she had in her mouth when she fell asleep, because she debated should she or shouldn’t she call for assistance.

Not that the worst case scenarios ran through my head at all and I may be more paranoid than needed on a regular basis! :rolleyes1

So crisis averted, Dan and I split a pretzel as I tried to calm my anxiety from a mach 7 to Eyore level. :dance3:

P1030340.jpg

Notice I did not even get my nails done for this trip! I hate not having my nails and it was totally my fault as I kept thinking I would make the time before we left!

It wasn’t too bad but they serve it with a nacho style cheese and I do not want my pretzel tasting like nachos. So I opted for the mustard and Dan enjoyed the cheese.

Dan and I went browsing the shops and the boys met us after the stunt show. They asked us what happened with Carsyn and I explained.

Baylor, the smart mouth said, “Carsyn is like a cockroach, nothing is going to make her extinct so quit worrying.” :rotfl2:

When she got there we went and sat again by Starring Rolls and she ate and the boys split a meal again! Her fever was gone and she did feel better. :worship:

As much grief as they give her, I know they were happy she was with again.
P1030342.jpg

Or he has plans to beat her with a pillow tonight perhaps….

We went to ride RNR with Carsyn…in fact now after reviewing and refreshing my memory…we never rode it earlier in the day like I first reported…I need notes!

Unibomber with a guy who just got out of a bottle with such a crink in the neck!

We were in line with a family who was celebrating a son’s 7th birthday. Dad had rotator cuff surgery and thus is in a sling - he was in the pic with Treyner…and so Mom was going to have to go. She was ambivalent and was freaking out. We tried to calm her but as we got to the queuing line, the ride malfunctioned and so they were doing many test runs before letting people board.

She had to see 15 cars go through take off and we were right there behind the chain link fence…waiting to ride.

Needless to say she left and the poor kid had to leave to. I think she convinced him he might perish. That he was not Carsyn and la cucaracha was not his middle name.

So they left and soon…ride fixed - we were ready to meet the lips of Steven Tyler.

P1030352.jpg

It was great as usual and I have to say the only thing I hate besides my head being slammed back and forth is worrying about loosing my earrings!

On the way out…Dan and I placed a bet on which way the doors slid open in the exit. Last year he had gotten his head split open by the sliding door wailing him in the forehead as he leaned against the glass on either side of the door. I had though he was on the outside of the building looking into the exit ramp…looking for the kids to be coming out. That would possible make sense.

He was positive he had been inside the building and just relaxing his head and when the doors slid out, his huge melon was in the way.

So we needed to prove who was right. Did the doors slide on the inside of the building or the outside?

Well as we elbowed each other and took out old ladies to get to the exit, I was proven wrong.

Indeed he did get his head injury inside the building.

Dan was all smug and proud of himself and I let him know if I were him it would not be a bragging right to announce to the world you could remember which side of the door you were standing when you got a head laceration but not smart enough to get your head out of the way.

So I won... :teacher:

technically. :rotfl:

Your lunch looks delish! I am going to remember that when I get to DHS next week....

You have to go!
Hmm, I'm betting you're wrong...you said she could sleep through anything so I'm going with she's still asleep and didn't hear the phone.
Good guess McGee!
I can't remember if you said or not, were you on the dining plan? Or do you know at Starring Rolls do you get a sandwich, chips and dessert altogether? At Sunshine Seasons in Epcot it was just a sandwich and dessert, no chips.
Yes - Cs diding and all was included for one credit!
That looks like a meal we will split and use the extra CS for breakfast sometime during our stay :goodvibes
Exactly what we did !
Caught up finally. How was date night? What show did you see?Awesome..."Dixie's Tupperware Party with my friend Kris as lead drag queen of plastic!" I always want to know what theatre people are going to. I work in theatre so I can't afford to go see it. :confused3 I know, it's weird. Our tickets were free! (won them on a local radio station agian!)

That si great to hear! I really hope it works out for them! :lovestruc
I've never been to Starring Rolls but have heard about the Butterfinger cupcakes. :worship:
I was not a big fan of that one...really good but I am kind of weird when it comes to things tasting like something else...I like Butterfingers and I like cupcakes but I am not a chocolate cake fan.

I do not want to be the referee at all! In fact I am hoping they will figure out together their own messes and start counting on each other to straighten each other out and not me. It was the last time we were that close. I kind of miss it.

I am sorry Stacy.

Wow, super post! I'm glad to hear Carsyn was ok :goodvibes

Kinda funny that Dan could remember where he got injured. Should have asked where he remembers the blood spattering on the ground.

DH says he can tell you exactly where I hit him in the head with a cane on my 30th birthday at the party from looking down and seeing where the blood spattered. Now that was a birthday to remember!

Sounds like a great story for Grandkids! :lmao:

Just found your TR! Busy mom of 4 here so I must sub and read more later! You are a ball of laughs...loving it!!:rotfl2:

ummmm...I would say you have been busy NOT reading the dis to make those kids in perfect timing ;) :lmao: ...so I would love to see you here when you are free! :goodvibes

So glad Carsyn wasn't lying dead back in the room :rotfl: And I would be freaking too, darn kids and putting their phones on silent :headache: :rotfl:

Oh and I love Baylor's cockroach statement :rotfl2:

Great update. Why would Carsyn put her phone on silent when she must know that you would call to check on her? Kids. I'm glad she caught up with you. I must admit, it would have been an amazingly funny story to hear how she dealt with security bursting into the room though. Maybe next trip???

It is quite the story...

Here it is...

I turned 30 April 16, 2009. I had been dreading it for awhile. DH had a party for me at the house, we had a pretty good showing. My best friend and her husband from Cali came out, too.

For my present, BF's hubby got me a cane and a pinata. They then hung the pinata from the garage ceiling, blind folded me, spun me around and let me go. I took a swing, missed, lots of laughter. The next swing solid connect with the pinata. The string broke leaving maybe 4 inches of string left.

Well, what does the obvious solution seem to be? Have DH hold the pinata string outside, duh!! So we went outside, he held the pinata, and I took a swing. It was like an America's Funniest Home Video moment...

Now what we did not know at the time is what had happened to the cane after the first connection that broke the string.
A moment to describe the cane.... It was a metal cane with an adjustable slide bottom for height like crutches. When I had the good connect with the pinata that broke the string it bent the cane and therefore the bottom of the cane wasn't being held....

I took a swing at the pinata, the bottom of the cane let loose and went flying. Smacked DH above the right eyebrow and CUT his face. Bled all over the place and had to go to the ER to get stitches :scared1: And there is the possibility that occasionally I get drama queenish after a few cocktails :rolleyes1 I ended up crying in the bedroom for about half an hour after he left leaving my guests to fend for themselves. I pulled it together, though, and went back out to play some more beer pong and party on. DH got back about 2 hours later and the party had continued just fine.

He still asks if thats what I did for my 30th bday what am I going to do to him when I'm 40

So glad Carsyn wasn't lying dead back in the room :rotfl: And I would be freaking too, darn kids and putting their phones on silent :headache: :rotfl:
At night I know the kids put it on silent to make sure they do not get texts or calls to interupt us in the hotel room sleeping. I should have checked if it was not on silent mode but if she did not hear the phone which was right next to her bean from the hotel...I doubt the cell would have awakened her either! Although the cell is associtaed with friends...so maybe that ringtone would have summoned some inner sense of reality!:confused3
Oh and I love Baylor's cockroach statement :rotfl2:
He is funny. He learned that from his brother!

Treyner called me today and I asked him how he was fitting in at college. He said, "I am already saying Ma'am so I am fine. I am like an iguana, you can take me anywhere and I will blend into my surroundings!" :lmao:

I'm glad she caught up with you. I must admit, it would have been an amazingly funny story to hear how she dealt with security bursting into the room though. Maybe next trip???
I kept thinking...so what if she got up and went to the bathroom and decided she was still hot and was just lying in a thong and tank...then to awaken to 2 grandpa's playing Magnum PI busting through the doors!!

:rotfl2:That was soooo worth the story! Do you have pics you can scan? I would love to laugh at...er I mean sympathize looking at him!:thumbsup2 :rolleyes1

I'll have to ask my girl friends if they have any pics. We took a few with our cell phones so we could text them to him. One is a picture of all my friends wearing our bike helmets holding the cane... He sent back a picture of just his hand, one finger sticking up. Then we made him a necklace with one of the black beaded necklaces he got me and the top of the card board box from the cake. We wrote "I am a pinata" on the card board and made him wear it when he got back. We were all a little toasty when he got back, so not sure if we have photos or not  He does have a Harry Potter like scar above his eyebrow. Its about an inch long, he had 3 stitches...

I am still cracking up from your comment about the AI contestant needing Prozac. 1234........4567.......ect. :lmao: I come from a family of real OCDr's and that comment is so funny to me~

I am also still cracking about about the comment of your food and Dan's crotch! :rotfl2: Too, too funny!

I would have been worried about Carsyn, too. Last June my youngest DS was left at the hotel after DH, DN, and I went to Epcot. He was supposed to go to one of the water parks with his brother (and brother's friend), but they ditched him when he wasn't getting ready soon enough. To make matters worse they took the key to the safe and in the safe was DS's phone charger. His phone was completely dead and he had to call me long distance from the room while I was on spaceship earth and couldn't hear a word he was saying. Plus - I had his park ticket. I was sick to my stomach for the entire 45 mins I sat on a bench near the entrance of Epcot waiting for him to arrive. All I kept thinking is - he is only 15 and he does not have a cell phone. ANYTHING could happen to him.

So, I completely understand how you felt. I'm glad she was fine and that she felt better after sleeping for a bit.

HIGH - STARE - ICALLLLL!!!! :rotfl2:

I am also still cracking about about the comment of your food and Dan's crotch! :rotfl2: Too, too funny! Ummm...Houston...we have a problem! We had some posts here from various parties that went a bit too PG regarding the said photo and they have since been removed. I have been asked to try and keep things as G as possible to the best of my ability so we will not be referring to what is gained global infamy as "CrotchGate 2010!" :rolleyes1

I would have been worried about Carsyn, too. Last June my youngest DS was left at the hotel after DH, DN, and I went to Epcot.... All I kept thinking is - he is only 15 and he does not have a cell phone. ANYTHING could happen to him. My grandfather ran away from home at 14 and made himself a millionaire so I try and remember how coddled they are now which is half the reason we worry so much...they can ask for any help 24/7 from us as parents via cell, texting , e-mail etc and are not used to figuring things out on their own as much. Glad he got to you safe and what happened to his brother when you re-connected???!!!! :headache: :rotfl2:

I hate when I know my anxiety does not equate to the level of urgency I am giving it but esp. after Baylor was hurt and I had a sixth sense to go get him and listened to reason he would be fine (which 99.9% of the time is true I know) and then it wasn't...is a hard thing in your mind to get past.
