Space Mountain: Clothing Optional - All done and true even if it is April Fool's

How cute is that...wanting to get his hair cut there!! What a handsome boy!! Loved your rhyming about Junior! :rotfl2:
Okay so who is the guy sitting in the chair that (1) obviously doesn't need a hair cut and (2) is wearing really short shorts :rotfl2:

Tracy

Maybe they aimed the scissors for his hair(or lack thereof), but severely missed and cut off his shorts instead.

Hey, it could happen! :rotfl2:

Excuse me Dawn, but where is his hair coloring?? That is the best part of the barber Shop haircuts. lol My youngest had her hair cut there on our last trip and loved it. She left with pink and purple hair and a ton of confetti.
They offered but he declined the Tink Treatment!
His hair does look nice and I loved his sticker treatment. :rotfl2::happytv:
Michael did a great job. If we lived closer he would do Treyner's hair all the time. Treyner I think got a Mohawk last week. That was the plan anyway with a teammate. I will know in less than 2 weeks!
Awwww, how cute he wanted his hair cut at MK Barbershop! You have such good looking and good hearted children. You are one lucky mom.
They are good kids and I love the fact they get Disney. They mat not want rope drop but they will never turn away the magic! :worship:

I of all people did not notice that until you wrote it - so I went back and was in shock I had forgotten him!!

I did notice him there when the cut was happening...I wanted to call my own cell phone and tell him the 70's :hippie: were calling and they wanted their jean shorts back!

Maybe they aimed the scissors for his hair(or lack thereof), but severely missed and cut off his shorts instead.

Hey, it could happen! :rotfl2:
Do you have no friends in your life to tell you...ummm...buddy - those shorts are too short for Jessica Simpson. He was married as well and his wife was sort of not caught up to the current trends either. Not as bad as him but totally was rockin the 80's big bang hair.

I want "What not to Wear" to do a week at Disney. What a smorgasbord of craptastic wardrobes they could prey upon! :lmao:

And I know I looked like a linebacker with Dan's too huge sweatshirt on. :scared1:

Which is another conundrum.

It was a high of 61 that day. What is up with Bobby Ray Duke wearing a Speedo? :confused3

All caught up. I followed from Wigd's TR awhile ago but I had to read your previous TR and skim your PTRs.
I'd just like to say you have an awesome family. I love how the kids will tease each other but have one another's back. :goodvibes

Thanks so much for the kind words. Glad you caught up. I have 3 I need to do that with!!!:surfweb: Now you can start the new PTR! :scared1:

:rotfl: Haha tracy ....I think I have those same shorts and even I don't wear them anymore!

I love Treyner's haircut and I bet he was the barber's favorite cut of the day. How nice to work on someone who can sit still and doesn't scream.

And correct me if I'm wrong.....but I think that 1 1/2 is just too young for a first haircut. No wonder the kid was screaming like a banchee!

Treyner got his first cut at one. I think it just depends on how much hair the kid has.

But just because you want your kids first cut to be at Disney - if he is not in the mood for it - do not shove the hair cut down his throat esp. in a public place where other people are trying to enjoy the moment.

Like a Santa visit.

Why torment the child if they are not liking what you want them to like?

I thought the mom should have him sit on her lap and then try the cut - that way he felt secure but nobody listens to me! :confused3

Oh my Dawn. Treynor gets better looking every day. He must be beating the girls at school off with sticks. I'm so glad that all 3 of your kids still get the magic, but I think credit goes to you. You spread the magic in their lives everyday so they still see it!

Treyner has girls flocking him at school but he claims he has eyes for only one. :3dglasses

Thanks about the kids...I just talked to a Mom who has a freshman in college who never calls and returns texts or calls infrequently.

I just sit there becuase that is not my life with Treyner. Carsyn was gone for the weekend with a friend in college and she called/texted etc a ton as well even though it was 2 days.

I have done a ton wrong in my life but I am proud of my relationship with them above anything and if I had to get one thing right I am glad it was them.

Wow...I can't believe those people in line for the bus! I can't stand when people treat their children like that! (Um...yeah I wonder if that boy will call or text his mom when he's in college :rolleyes1) It really does make me sad though. Sometimes I have gotten frustrated with Landon, but only when he has major meltdowns and as a single mom with no one to help or anything and every time, I cry because I feel so bad. And what the dad said about the people in ECV's is TERRIBLE!! It's sad to know there really are people who think that way. But before I go and think the world is a terrible place, I read your tr's and your views on life and how Treyner reacts to things and I realize there still are good people and good morals out there. :goodvibes

This made my eyes swell up with tears! I hope one day I can look back and say the same. :goodvibes

Hi, my name is Molly (I'm sure you noticed by the clever screen name) and I have been lurking on your TR's for some time now. You are freakin hilarious:rotfl2:!!!! I like your parenting style....lots of love with a healthy dose of sarcasm thrown in.....simply brilliant. That's the way we roll here in the McDaniel house.

So, we will be arriving at DW on 3/20 and I don't want you to think I'm stalking you or anything weird like that, but what would it take for my family to get a picture with you? Forget the characters, give me Dawn! :worship: We are staying at Villas at Wilderness Lodge and our flight gets in around 11am. You would make my whole trip. So, think about it and let me know...and can't wait for the next installment!

You already can.

How sweet that Treyner got his hair cut at MK and he did great too, no crying or screaming ;) :rotfl: Seriously why on earth did that Mom carry on letting the barber cut her childs hair

An older gentleman was behind Treyner, plopped down a $100 bill for the $50 fee and said, “I hope someone would do that for my child. Do something nice for someone in your life.” :littleangel:

What an awesome story! Gave me a warm fuzzy feeling!

So Shelia C. Biache who thinks she is from down under, picks the kid up and proceeds to whisper vengefully in his ear that if he does not stop whimpering he is going to go to the bathroom and get a spanking with her belt. :scared1:

I hate confrontation, but I would have had a really hard time keeping quiet with her! :headache:

He proceeds to announce to everyone that the “retards” and fat people who pretend to be handicapped should ride separate transportation so they do not hold up the rest of the normal people.

Oh. My. Gosh. What an idiot! Didn't he even realize what as a$$ he was making of himself? :confused3

Is it weird my heart melted a bit that he at 19 wanted to sit at MK for a hair cut? :confused3

Nope, I can relate. We are planning on doing a cruise when DS graduates high school (in two years :rolleyes1). We were talking about it yesterday and he really wants it to be Disney. I was so excited that he still loves Disney!

I am not kidding and I need to get this rhyming torture from my head because now I feel like friggin Mary Poppins with all these sing song lyrics….. :rotfl:

That was fantastic! :thumbsup2

My handsome boy after his cut!
P1030418.jpg

Very handsome!

***I have dementia because I was informed that Carsyn was not with us that morning by Carsyn who reads the updates after the fact.

She was wanting more time in the bathroom and met up with us a bit later. I assumed when she was not in the pics that she was taking them…I was told that was Epcot day. So I have gone back and changed the last chapter to be accurate since this is supposed to be a non fiction TR.

All names that represent anyone who has anything to lose has been changed to protect the innocent.

Amen.

Chapter Seven: Big Buns, Monsters and Space Mountain...Oh My!

With Treyner’s new coif in place we joined Dan and Baylor at Main Street Bakery. The boys are cinnamon roll freaks so they were excited to commence eating. I had a few bites but the sugar overload was way too much for me. I am more a caramel roll girl and for dessert not breakfast thank you.

We did find a spot to sit right away without stalking the finishing guests too badly. It was a small table though so I am sure we looked similar to a clown posse exiting a Volkswagen. The rolls were too big for the table and I am not talking about the ones on my side!

P1030420.jpg

P1030419.jpg

Treyner had most of mine,

(Before he hit the “WALL.”)

all of his,

P1030422.jpg

(After he hit the “Wall!”)

and Baylor and Dan finished theirs.

(This was pre-gluttony face!)

I thought it would be a great plan to wait until after some dough settled before riding Space Mountain. I did not want a Blueberry Barf-o-Rama display like in Stand By Me.

I had found a watch I had liked a ton in DHS the day before and had bought. It was a new design and was told they were selling fast. I was planning on getting a new watch from MK because I needed to return one previously purchased that had broke. The DHS watch manager had assured me I could buy the watch there, and still take back the broken one to MK. That because I had a receipt an exchange was not mandatory. My concern had been if I waited to go to MK and they did not have the watch I wanted, I would be stuck with no watch because we did not have hoppers and I could not get back into DHS.

Understand?

So the broken watch went with me to MK and after the Bakery I went in to get my refund and guess what?

The manager from DHS was wrong. MK watch place would only exchange. So I whipped out the receipt and showed her the watch I was wearing from DHS that was the exact same amount as what was broken, told her what the manager there had said and the fact I did not need two watches. That I did not want to exchange the broken watch for another watch.

She hemmed and hawed and finally agreed to give me a gift card for the amount of the broken watch. It was not the cash I had promised but we knew we had souvenirs and such that we would spend our money on so we would not be out anything.

Treyner found a watch he liked a lot and our next trip I think I will get it for him. He does not have a nice watch and it was not screaming Disney so it was a good match for him.

We walked out of the Watch Shop, into the bright daylight and caught a glimpse of the morning parade going by. Festive music and loads of characters. We walked past the people in line watching so we could get ahead of the crowd but I still managed to sneak in some pics!

P1030424.jpg

P1030429.jpg

I have never seen a chipmunk flex before!

P1030425.jpg

Can anyone identify the finger in this picture? Some random shot and now this person has become part of TR history!

It was definitely much more crowded than it had been the previous two days.

P1030431.jpg

We then cut through the side by the Noodle Station and the Monster Laugh Factory was ready to load. We went in and had a short wait for the pre show.

P1030435.jpg

Soon we were escorted into the loading area and were entertained by Roz.

P1030437.jpg

P1030436.jpg

It was at this point I noticed Treyner tearing up. Trying not to laugh. He was wheezing and all he could do was point under his arm, trying not to be obvious.

I followed his finger and lo and behold was a girl who he thought had stuffed her bra/shirt with Kleenex and now it was spilling out. She was leaning forward at that moment and I am sure he was at first noticing cleavage but was taken aback more by the booger blower puffing out.

At first glance I thought the same but then realized it was just a cami that had a bad design problem. A shirt that should have been purchased with a good friend who would explain that you looked like a character from the book, “Are you there God it’s me Margaret.”

So what did I do?

I totally took a picture because it was a moment I would forget if not logged into digital memory.

I used Baylor as a guise for the picture and I am sure people thought I was some wackadoo taking a pic of my kid with him literally right in front of me.

P1030438.jpg

Baylor not finding me funny and not sure what we were actually photographing.

P1030439.jpg

Had to take a second one so I would not look like a stalker!

At this point Baylor was seriously frustrated by not knowing, Treyner told him and he just shook his head at us. I think a comment of, “Real Mature” came from him but it was hard to hear anything above my stifled immature giggling.

A few minutes later and we went into the show. I just had a feeling that one of us would be picked to be a part of the cast of characters and sure enough…

Dan was the pseudo Sulley.

P1030440.jpg

Yes I snapped a pic because I do not listen to the in-flight warnings of not chewing gum, drinking a beverage, head-locking your children , giving your neighbor wedgies, assuming the kiss your @rse goodbye position as we plummet to the ground….

or photography.

Yes I was told by the cyborg security forces to put my camera away. :sad2:

Yes I felt a tad humiliated for public shaming...

but I also felt like I got away with touching the Queen! I mean once it’s done, you can’t take it back and I gave the cyborg the look :cool2: that had her know I was willing to fight for the picture memory wedgie thingie if she tried to pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

I now know the high that drives the paparazzi for that shot of Tom Cruise in his platform shoes. The perfect picture of Ryan Seacrest with his boyfriend. The ultimate photo op of the Octo Mom coming out from her plastic surgeons office because we all know that she and Michael Jackson are the only people in the history of man kind not to have surgery and yet do not look like the person their Momma’s doctor slapped as they entered the world.

Dan was a great sport and as a big fuzzy dude, he filled Sulley’s roll perfectly.

Carsyn had called right when we were entering Laugh Factory show and was waiting for us at the exit. (I do remember all of this now after it was brought to my attention.) :rolleyes1

She was wearing a gymnastics sweatshirt and had been asked to allow someone to take a picture of it and her.

On the back of the sweatshirt it says,

“I run like a girl.
I jump like a girl.
I leap like a girl.
When I crotch a beam…
It hurts like a boy.”

So she had her fame card filled for the day.

Next up was Stitch.

I liked Aliens better back in the day because it was totally scary. Stitch is just gross now. I can still smell the chili hotdogs if I breathe in real deep.

I do looove the pre-show and the cute donut eating monster. I think this area has the best pre-show in WDW.

We ran out of stitch and headed to Space Mountain. I was really impressed with all the new games and touch points to keep people entertained while they stood in the regular wait line. We rode each side once. There are pictures here that make me laugh.

P1030442.jpg

No these are not the best pictures or the reason for the title of this TR.

That comes later that night.

And I am chomping at the bit to get to it because I better get 100 responses from all you lurkers that it is the funniest photo and story combo in the history of the Dis. I am dead serious. My post numbers better skyrocket from ya all. :teacher:

But alas…that came 6 hours from this point. So I will take my time.

Weave my yarn if ya will so I do not short change anyone on the monotonous details that hub any delicious plot.

A few more to justify my leaving you on the edge of your seat for the next installment…

The living room of the future!

The children that may live long enough to see the future if they do not drive me insane!

When it is more about you and your memory moment than the child, you need to re-evaluate.

Dan has been on the Disney cruise but I have not. Can't wait to someday do that! How awesome will that be when you guys go and what a great son!

I need to get the weight report done on the WISh thread and then I will start on the rest of the day TR I promise.

Photobucket is not allowing me to upload photos with bulk uploader so I am doing it one at a time and it takes 30 seconds each pic. Driving me nuts!!!!

That sounds like my facebook last week. The new uploader wouldn't work at all so I had to uninstall it and put one photo on at a time. I was ready to throw the laptop out the window. It was that way over a week and I had some really cute pics of Ellie to put up from the hockey game.
