Space Mountain broke down today

I was there yesterday and thought it was strange we were on the people mover when it broke down. When we were getting off the people mover they closed it down. I thought that it might have had to do with SM, so I asked the CM, she said SM, and the people mover are tied together, so both were shut down. However, about 20 min. later my dd rode the people mover, and SM was still down.

The CM was incorrect. The People Mover (aka TTA) operates separately from SM. Many of us have been able to see the inside of SM with the work lights on by riding through on the TTA.

We know that because we too saw it Saturday with the lights on, and my Daughter also saw it.
And thats why we thought that the CM comment, and that the People Mover was closed down too was so strange.

Space Mountain was fine when we were there last week, but Splash mountain had to be shut down for a while because someone stood up on the ride and set off motion sensors. The CM said that it was the 5th or 6th time it had happened that day. He also said that they expect it to happen about 1x or 2x a day, but that day was unusual. This was last Thursday.

They're not "tied together" but if there's any un-magical stuff (like whatever they'd need firemen for) needed to be done on SM they'd probably not want people on the TTA
