if I check the lounge for 2/1 now, it says there are no reservations available. 30 day reservations are open starting 2/2 for today. the app is acting weird but it doesn't say there are no schedules available.

It's weird. On my phone I can search all dates but on my desktop I can search up until January 31st; then starting Feb. 1st I get the no schedule available message.

we have definitely seen them do it for other restaurants like biergarten. So, it seems possible. I wouldn't be surprised if they want to test it out or see what happens with crowds or whatever it is they are looking at to decide what to do with lounge access.

For what it's worth, I was looking into Space 220 today for 5 Feb (60+5) and found nothing. On a whim I looked into 6 Feb just to see, and was able to find a table for 4 for dinner. I don't remember if that was Lounge or Restaurant.
So to me, it looks like February is loaded as normal, just booked up with 60+ advance.

I like split stays, but this is a reason not to do them.

my guess is no walk-ups but that is only a guess. I am thinking they might be trying to get rid of the line that formed outside. Either you have a reservation, there's an opening immediately, or you are turned away.

"UPDATE: We stopped by Space 220 and asked a Cast Member about this change. They told us that, starting tomorrow (December 2nd) and going forward, the Space 220 Lounge will require reservations. There will still be a standby line for the bar, but minors will not be permitted. So if there are people under 21 in your group, you’ll need reservations for Space 220 no matter where you eat (the Lounge or the Dining Room). But if you can’t get reservations for the day you’ll be there, you can still walk up to sit at the bar without reserving your spot ahead of time."

Yikes, that is interesting. by "the bar" I think they mean seating at the bar itself, and the lounge tables will be reserved. There were maybe 10-11 tables in the lounge, so if you got a reservation you'll probably be sitting at a table.

Lets see if anyone who is there today or before I go on 12/9 finds out if you can order the lounge menu at the tables. I'm guessing so since they need to turn the tables now.

Well that should be interesting to try and do for 7 people... although last time, we did have bar seating, with multiple people that arrived at same time as us...

Yeah, they were just updating some hours for Christmas week and DHS was showing unavailable for awhile. Probably related somehow

This morning, February 1 (which is 60 days from today) showed up as open to book in the app but NOT through the website. I was just messing around and I noticed that.

There were no times available by the time I was looking (around 11) but I was able to tap through to check. So if you’re trying to book, try on the app.

It better be the lounge menu. I cancelled a dining room reservation when I got one for the lounge specifically for that reason.

If you are booked in the lounge, you will be offered the lounge menu. It shows you the menu right on the booking page.

Saw a You Tuber review who went the day they started the lounge reservations. She was told by her server that you may order from the lounge menu or the prix fixe menu.
