My dh and I will be going kid free in Feb. for a weekend away to celebrate his birthday and a Valentine's getaway. I was thinking about doing a couple's spa treatment. Any advice? :earsgirl:

That sounds wonderful!! :D Are you wanting advice on which spa to go to, or about treatments?? I have heard wonderful things about the spa at the GF.

Advice or recommendations for either spa treatments or locations would be wonderful. Thanks! :earsgirl:

I really recommend the spa at Saratoga Springs. My best friend and I went there on Christmas day and it was wonderful. The spa is lovely and the treatments excellent. I had a mystical forrest treatment, half reflexology and half sweedish massage which was amazing.

The only spa in Orlando I have been in was the Mandra spa @ the portofino bay hotel at universal. If you are planning on going off site, i can recomend them! However, I just cant imagine any Day spa being bad. ;)

As far as treatments go, I just love Body scrubs and wraps! They leave your skin feeling like a babys behind. you cant go wrong with a massage. Sweedish massages are the most relaxing. My DH and I did a couples massage once (this was Dhs first massage) but we didnt really care for it. :( I couldnt help focusing on him... wondering if he was enjoying it, if he was relaxed. you get the point. So now we do a couples day where we each pick the treatments we want and then meet up at the end. I am always surprised by his choices in treatments because they are always totally different from what I like. But we both walk out of there feeling like a limp noodle! :goodvibes You should deside where you want to go and then sit down with him and see what he thinks he might enjoy. You guys are going to have a really special and romantic weekend!

Thank you all for your input. I think we'll probably go to Saratoga Springs since we'll be staying there. As far as treatments, I wanted to do a couples package, however, we are complete opposites. One of us is bound to be dissatisfied so choosing individual treatments is a great idea. I'm going to take your advice and run with. I'm so excited and can't wait. :earsgirl:

I did find a webpagae that lists services along with prices for the spas at Grand Floridian and Saratoga Springs. Relaxedyet is the name of it. Do the dott comm thing and it'll work.

(I would have given you the hyperlink but as a newbie apparently I can't do that.)
