I'm looking to book a spa treatment for me and my wife for our trip next month, it's a surprise for her but I have no idea what to book, I've never been to a spa before and neither has she (nothing like that around our small town) anyways does anyone have any suggestions for something we can do together there?? I looked at there menu and don't know what most of it is, are the vitality baths available for 2 people??

My husband and I did the couples massage on our honeymoon there in November and it was AMAZING! We both absolutely loved it! We didn't want to leave. We could have lived in the spa the whole time we were there. We did the 'Ohi‛a Lehua (translates to Love Story) massage for Two, which is their middle couples massage and it was just perfect! I believe it was 80 minutes in total (maybe 90 minutes-- I think we went over a little bit). It consisted of a 30 minute body exfoliation on the table, then a joint shower to scrub everything off (they leave you alone for this part, in case anyone feels like this sounds strange LOL) and then the remaining 50 or so minutes in an all over body massage. It's really amazing and relaxing. You each get to pick your own scents for the scrubs. You also get to indulge in the amazing things the spa has to offer (relaxation rooms, either all men, all women, or a co-ed lounge; steam rooms, showers, the outdoor hydro therapy garden which is a sheer oasis.)

This was really our big splurge on our trip and it was worth every penny! Ten times over. It was our favorite thing of the entire trip! Neither of us have ever been to a spa either, so it's nice to see we both enjoyed it equally! It was very romantic and relaxing. We couldn't stop talking about it for weeks! Everyone at the spa was just wonderful and very professional and comfortable to be around.

My tip would be, when you check in (I believe 45 minutes before your appointment), you can enjoy the hydrotherapy garden. But in our experience after the introduction and tour of the spa's we really only had about 10 minutes to enjoy it. Which is definitely not enough! You can actually stay inside the spa AS LONG AS YOU WANT after your treatment is complete! So long as you don't leave and try to come back. You can even have room service delievered to the garden outside and enjoy your lunch or dinner together in the spa's beautiful hydrotherapy garden after your treatment, and then enjoy the hot tub, reflexology path, or the hydrotherapy showers! We wish we had realized this, and we would have made our appointment for earlier in the day so we had more time to enjoy the spa after our treatment!

Good luck in your choosing! I don't think you can go wrong one way or the other!

DH and I also did the couples massage together. He had never been to a spa before and he enjoyed it. You get use of the hydrotherapy gardens and the locker rooms, and the massage itself was great. It may seem pricey, but I thought the prices were fair given the quality of the massage, the amenities, and just how upscale the spa was in general. I thought prices were on par with other resort-type spas that I've been to.

Spa was the highlight of our stay too, but yes, get there more than 45 minutes before your treatment. We arrived at 9:30 for an 11:00 appointment and I even felt that was a little too short of a time to relax and get ready for massage, we stayed about 2 hours afterwards too because it was so relaxing.

@StaceyDarling! thanks for your great info and for taking the time to give us this information, I booked the same package that you and your husband experienced today for our trip at the end of the month!!

Absolutely! You two will not be disappointed! Have a wonderful trip!!

We did the biggest couples package they offer (along with a bunch of other stuff - we were at the spa like 5 or 6 days lol). Everything was fantastic. She will enjoy whatever you book.

As mentioned above, be sure to get there early! The hot tubs, saunas, relaxation rooms were out of this world!

Always go as early as you can and stay as long as you can. Make use of everything in the spa for as long as you can before and after your treatment. Also, just because it isn't on the "menu" doesn't mean they can't do it. My husband and I wanted the Signature Lomi Lomi massage but done as a couple. No problem.

Another thought... we had a garden view standard room, and our location was on the 3rd floor overlooking the spa's hydrotherapy garden. I LOVED the location! The 3rd floor is actually the ground floor when coming into the entrance/lobby. Very convenient! But we were right above the 1st floor spa so when we had our slider door open and/or were on our balcony, we were constantly soothed by the sounds and smell coming from the spa! AMAZING! So if anyone is booking a garden view standard room, put in a request for the 3rd floor overlooking the spa. It's a great spot.
