Of course now that I have the question, I can't find the answer. It seems to me I have read about specials when booking on board the first day. Are there ever "sales" for spa services on board? My DD (19) thinks this is where she wants to have her first massage - on the Wonder in Alaska. She is a college student and doesn't have a lot of money, so I was wondering if there are ever specials or should she just book ahead of time? I have explained that she can get a cheaper massage at home, but she doesn't want anything to do with that.

yes, they had some specials when we were onboard the Magic. Also we went to a "free" facial demo and we were given a coupon for a % off a salon service. I can't remember the exact amount.

I did one of the spa specials on our 4/25 Fantasy cruise. It included a massage, scalp massage and mini facial. The girl who did it was magical! When I did my treatment it was on a sea day.

I did this same special (or something very similar), and it was great. There is a difference when getting a massage on the ship and feeling the gentle sway of the ship, even more relaxing than normal. I will also add they will give you the specials after the day they run them. My wife got the above special on the 2nd day of our cruise and I took in the Navigator that had it listed 2 or 3 days later and they said no problem they would give me the same deal. Just be sure to take the Navigator with you when you book it and when you show up for your appointment.

I just looked at my Navigators from last June Fantasy Western Caribbean and they ran a Senses Spa Special everyday. It was on the back cover of the Navigator.

One other piece of advice, they give you a questionnaire to fill out while waiting for your service. I answered everything in a positive manner, no dry skin, no acne, skin not oily, etc and they didn't try to get me to purchase their skin care products. I've read on here they many people get a hard sell after their service, I didn't experience it though.

Have her go to the spa raffle on the first day. It's more of less a 1/2 hour advertisement of their services but they do give away a handful of prizes, and then everyone that attends receives a special offer. It may not be for the exact service she is wanting though. Specials tend to be offered on port days since there are fewer people looking to have appointments on those days.

Last weekend they had a special for a 50 min massage, scalp oil and massage, mini facial and foot and ankle massage for $145.00. Looked like a pretty decent deal.
