Spa Discounts on Port days?

I found an old reference to getting a discount on spa passes/spa services on port days. Is that still happening? If so, do I have to wait until the port day to book, book first thing when we get onboard, or can I book (with the discount) in advance? Any general advice about the best spa packages? Two of the adults in our group are talking about not leaving the ship on port day and spending the day in the spa instead.

I just used the discount on my cruise last week (Disney visa cardholder). We had booked 2 massages in advance. Some words of warning, I had to remind the massage therapist about the discount, and she acted like she didn't know what I was talking about but then confirmed it with her manager. My husband didn't mention it during his massage because he thought it was automatic, so they didn't apply it and then it was a pain to get it corrected. So don't assume it is automatic, always confirm when at the spa.

I would like to do this, but I worry I won't get an appointment at a time that works for me and then I won't be able to get a massage, so I always end up booking in advance. Maybe I am overestimating the popularity of the spa.

I have never had an issue at all. Even getting a sea day with a manager's special if you book right after the raffle

Nope. Rainforest room is not normally included.

If you attend the spa raffle at the very end of the presentation, there is normally some sort of special that the manager offers. It’s only some sort of massage with some sort of either facial or eye treatment. Sometimes they do hot stone with it as well. It just depends, but I’ve had it offered on every ship, including the wish if you go to the spa raffle. Sometimes if bookings are particularly low and you’ve gone to the raffle, you will get a message while you’re on the ship offering you the manager special again and encouraging you to book.
