Soy Free Options at MK & Epcot?

Has anyone else been to the World recently with a Soy allergy? We are only spending two days in October - one at MK & one at Epcot - and I've yet to find a current example of a dish from their Allergen menu online. Two years ago, I was eating Gluten Free (we thought it was the problem at the time) and remember seeing one or zero Soy Free options depending on the eatery. The zero option places are why I'm so nervous about wasting time during such a short trip.
We have a lunch reservation at Garden Grill and will be staying at All Star Movies. If anyone on the DISboards is eating in these parks between now and Halloween, or were there this past year, and could share their findings, my stomach and I would really appreciate it!

Touring Plans also has a lot of the allergy menus (some much more up to date than GFDFWDW) with their menu listings.

The only place we really struggled with soy-free was Columbia harbor house. There are options, but they just didn’t work for my son with his other allergies. If soy is your only issue, I’d recommend avoiding the Asian restaurants, and you should be otherwise good ordering from the allergy menu. Even the Asian style restaurants can probably acomodate you, but we tend to avoid them bc soy is so prevalent.

My D has multiple food allergies (dairy, egg, soy) and is a vegetarian, but on the last trip we took her on in March of 2016, we had no problems at any of the TS restaurants. As long as you note the allergy on your reservation, the chef will come to your table and talk to you about what options they have to accommodate your diet. My D was 14 at the time and pretty picky (she is less so now), but she is also quite shy...without her asking, the chefs at The Wave, Mama Melrose, Boma, and Trail's End (Chef TJ, who is famously WONDERFUL about creating custom meals for vegans and people with allergies) asked her what kinds of foods she liked and then made her custom meals that she thought were delicious.

For CS, I believe the managers have binders that have the ingredients listed that you can request to look through...admittedly, CS is harder. I remember her being less satisfied with those meals...she ate more salads than she would've liked, lol.

Are you allowed to have soy lecithin and/or soybean oil (highly refined)? They are both safe for my D, but I know it varies by the individual. If you can't have soy lecithin/oil that makes it tougher, because as I'm sure you know, they are in tons of processed foods. :( We bought safe breakfast items from the grocery store and ate in our room in the morning, generally stuck with whole foods or things that had labels on them (hence the salads, with our own dressing) for lunch, and then she ate like a queen for dinner. :) We were able to find a few safe CS dishes online by Googling vegan soy free, but you have to be careful to still check the ingredient binder at the CS restaurants because suppliers can change fairly frequently.

I'm sorry to say that we haven't been to GG or ASMo since our D was diagnosed, so I don't have any specific information to offer you on those. Hopefully someone will soon! :)

Thank you everyone for your tips and help! I'll be cross-referencing between the GlutenFreeDairyFreeWDW and TouringPlans sites to find the best places to eat :)

I did read on one review that they changed the oils they cook their food in sometime around the end of 2016, which is really sad because I loved Harbor House.

My biggest heartbreak from having to live soy-free was giving up Reese's. We're from PA so I am ... was a Hershey girl. Thank you for sharing your experiences, too! While I'm still experimenting, it looks like I cannot have ANY soy-related products -- oil or lecithin included. There are other intolerances in the mix but the soy seems to be the key instigator in reactions. The CS meals are the ones I'm most concerned about. I will definitely be packing some quick snacks in my check-in bag, including peanut butter based granola bars just in case I need a kick of protein. Thanks again for the tips!
