What was your favorite souvenirs in St Martin and St Thomas? What was that one or two items you had to bring home? We are going next year and want to start thinking of things to bring home. Thanks!

If you like tanzanite definetly buy it in St. Martin. Prices are better there than St. Thomas. We will be on the Eastern again in Nov. 08.

We'll be taking our first Eastern Caribbean cruise in a couple of months, and I've been thinking along the same lines. Here are a couple of possible souvenirs I'm considering.

From St. Maarten - guavaberry liqueur from the Guavaberry Emporium and a Caribbean map print from the Yoda Guy.

From St. Thomas - a Caribbean hook bracelet, some flavored Cruzan rum and/or some rum balls. Have also heard about some beautifully-painted ball ornaments at Diane Artware.

Gimme an S, gimme an H, gimme an O, gimme a P.....SHOP!! :cheer2:

these sound like awesome souvies, where do we get the map print from the Yoda Guy?
Also, the Guavaberry liqueur sounds very good. Is it close to the ship? Thanks and I didn't mean to highjack the thread LOL :goodvibes

Well yes RUM is always on the list. I just was not sure if someone got something that they just love from the Islands. :confused3

pinkygirl, I came across the map prints while I was poking around on Yoda Guy's web site (www.yodaguy.com). His art had come up in a search I'd done for St. Maarten souvenirs. As his name implies, Nick Maley, aka Yoda Guy, has a personal connection to Star Wars and a gallery on Old Street in Phillipsburg.

The Guavaberry Emporium (www.guavaberry.com) is on Front Street. According to my Passporter, "it's about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the near end of Front Street and about a mile from one end of Front Street to the other." And, according to their web site, the Guavaberry Emporium has all kinds of nifty stuff. They may even offer tastings of guavaberry colada!

St Maarten: another vote for the map and art work from the Yoda guy. He is very nice and personable - great to talk to!!!!

St Thomas: Bernard K Passman black coral jewelry.

This sounds yummy!!!

At the Guavaberry store they have a cloth bag for $2.50 Instead of plastic bags you use this. The money goes to the schools. I also got coconut rum.
