Souvenir/Autograph Tip!

Before our Disney trip (just returned over the weekend), I had bought an inexpensive Cars drawstring backpack for my dd to carry her own snacks, drink, etc. I did not think she would be interested in character autographs, so I didn't prepare an autograph book or pages or anything. Well, I was wrong, but we had a sharpie with us and she just started having the characters sign her Cars backpack. It was so much more convenient than digging through a bag to get out a book! She got so many comments on it all week (even the characters seemed to get a kick out of it when they signed!) and now it's a unique souvenir of our trip. I had purchased the bag on Ebay, but noticed while in Orlando that Walgreen's had some very similar ones for around $5 with the princesses, Tinkerbell, and lots of other characters.

Thanks for the tip. I bought my girls the Princess drawstring backpacks. I will keep that in mind.

What a cute idea.
On our trip this summer I decided instead of the usual autograph book (which we have a lot of floating around our house) to get a blank Vinylmation Mickey to have signed. I love it! I even think we have enough room to take him along on our next trip to get the characters we missed.

Which size vinylmation is this? Love the idea!

That is the 9 inch Mickey. I was bought him at EPCOT. I would recommend buying him online at www.disneystore.com if you really want to get one. The first store I went into at EPCOY had sold out of them. Also, they do not sell the Sharpies in the park so I picked them up before I left home.

This year I took 11x14 mats with an open spot in the center for a photo. I decorated the edges with stickers (OK I admit I had to cover up some 2007 graduation stuff because I got these on clearance for a couple of bucks) and we went in search of signatures. I put them in the frames last night and they look so cool. No more books for us. If I have to stand in line for this stuff then I want something I can use of display.

On several occasions I have seen a cast member standing in between the Enchanted Grove Juice Bar and the Mad Tea Party with an Autograph Book. On one such occasion the cast member called me and my daughter over and asked us if we would sign HER autograph book!! Daughter got a kick out of it! She was the celebrity!

They do this quite often right there in that very spot so make sure and keep your eyes peeled on your next visit if you are traveling with kids.
