HI~
We are just back from 10 nights at POP!!!! :lovestruc

Now for my question, my mom and dad are suppose to leave on Friday but my dad has been sick in bed for a few day's, he gets horrible sinus/migranes which knocks him down. My mom is paniced that he won't be able to go and he wants her to take someone else (going with my sister/BIL and grandkids).
SO she went onto SW site and it say's you can't change the name on the ticket even with notice.. I THOUGHT I read here that someone did that once.

ANYONE??

Thanks in advance.

There policy is no name changes. Maybe some called got it changed, but it's a basic understanding that the tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Did you buy his ticket at a discount? They can pull his ticket out so that you can cancel just his and use his credit to buy another ticket for someone else at the prevailing rate, but I doubt you can get them to switch the names.

I'm going to move this over to the Transportation Board. There are a lot of frequent flyers over there who are familiar with SWA's policies. If anyone knows for sure whether this is possible to do without a change fee, someone on that board will! :thumbsup2

I believe that no name changes are made. However, you can easily call them and they'll either tell you how top go about teh change you need(you'll likely cancel the first ticket and then just re-book using the funds) Usually prices online are cheaper, so they are also good at walking you thru the online process.

Sorry to hear about your dad not feeling well enough. The allergy season is AWFUL and it does not help anyone with migraines for sure. The season is supposed to be the worst in a while, so a heads up to perhaps get an updated check at doctors to get any additional help he needs. :grouphug:

I am one of those that gets headaches sometimes that literally knock me for a loop requiring hospital visit and IV to get me up and running, just horrendous, so my heart feels for him. Its just awful!!

Best of luck, hope he is feeling better very soon!
