I just checked to see if a cheaper fare was available for what I booked with no luck. Thanks for the heads up though - looks like I'm gonna have to keep checking.

I'm trying to get a flight from KC or STL to MCO leave 3/24 return 3/30, nothing lower than $250 R/T so far (that includes AirTran and Midwest)

Do any of the experts on this board believe that SW may lower the fares for these blackout dates after the first of the year or does SW stick firm to their blackout dates??

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Can't tell you if the fares will go down, I do know that the afternoon flights from KC were 'unavailable' only 10 minutes after the dates opened up. I ended up taking the night flight on the 24 and staying an extra day til April 1 to get the $49 flights. I've seen others on the boards say times that showed up unavailable originally popped up available later on, so maybe that will be the case. Good luck!

Philly/MCO flights in Jan just dropped from $99 to $79 (in case anyone missed the last ding)!
