i am new to the dis boards and wanted to know if anyone is going on the southwest spledor trip april 20-27. just my husband and myself without the kids are going. I heard that there will be number of kids on this trip however and was wondering if it is mostly kid oriented or we will have enough to do as adults.

My DH and I did the Southwest Splendors last year. There were about 17 kids on our tour ranging in age from 5 to 19. In addition to us there was another couple on our trip with no children. We all had a blast. The guides we had ( Mike and Rae) made sure everyone has a great time. The activities are really geared toward everyone and you have the option of skipping some if you wish. ( We skipped some art and crafts activities in Sedona but only because it was soap sculpturing and that drives my allergies crazy)

You really have nothing to worry about. This is a great trip. Both my husband and I thought this was the best vacation we ever had. Everyone we met on the trip was great and the kids can be very entertaining.

My DH and children DS 11 and DD 10 are doing Southwest Splendors in August. Hope everyone has a super time! Please post your experience when you return, it helps the wait!

My Dh and I are going on the May 25 SWS trip. I paid the balance this weekend and got our flights arranged and paid for

Now I'm really getting excited. Less than 100 days!

You guys will have a GREAT time! We went on this trip last September. Just be prepared for a few long bus rides (about 3 hours each). The guides will try their best to keep everyone entertained though... and the motor coach is fairly comfortable so time will fly by pretty quickly...
