Southwest rookie needs help!

Hey, I thought the Gravol was our own little "family secret" :smooth:

We like to take the first flight out just after 7 in the morning. This means that we wake the kids up around 5 AM, so by 7:30 or 8:00 our son is ready for some shut-eye...he doesn't normally sleep well except in his own crib and just gets super-cranky for a while until he's so exhausted that he falls asleep. By this time I'm pretty much ready to pull my hair out!! So we help things along by giving him a kiddy Gravol around boarding time, and before long he conks out for at least an hour or so which gives us and the other passengers some relief. Yes, he's usually crabby after he wakes up, but then we try to bribe him with cookies & other goodies until we can get off the plane! I know, I know, we're terrible...but what can we do? :confused3 We'd never get to go anywhere otherwise.

Our daughter, on the other hand, is 5 and loves to draw, read, colour...so she's pretty easy to entertain on a plane.
