Is there any word on this expanding to resorts other than POP?

Traveling in December and would love it, but will not be at POP.

10/14 the service is scheduled to be added to the 3 All-Star resorts.

Cool, so they are still doing the Resort airline check-in at POP. I knew they were experimenting with it...is it a permanent thing now? We will be at POP in December. :santa:

Can anyone answer why only theose 3 resorts? :confused3
We would love it while leaving the BCV in early Dec. That stinks I was hoping for all resorts to be announced.:headache:

I haven't read an announcement from Disney. This is from the SW Blog.

We don't have any idea when (or if) other resorts (including BCV) will be added.

People with accurate information on why those resorts are being currently added won't be posting.

Do you want speculation?

RAC reduces staffing needed for luggage check in at MCO. It also relieves some of the space issues at MCO. Adding the value resorts might result in enough additional usage to have an impact on luggage at MCO.

RAC lets guests check their luggage up to 12 hours before their flight. There is some anecdotal evidence that suggests RAC holds bags at the resort until closer to flight time. I'll speculate Disney may need to increase the size of the RAC location in some resorts.

A couple of posters think more then half of the WDW guests who fly use Southwest. Southwest still lets passengers check two bags. I'll speculate RAC and MCO needs to make sure they can handle a significant increase in the number of bags that are checked at WDW when Southwest is added to more resorts.

I'm surprised the convention resorts aren't being included at this time.
