southwest release date question

It's been awhile since we've flown Southwest. Can you help me with when they will release fares for late March? I see currently they are out til Jan 5.

I see where it says that in July they'll release dates through February 12th, but how often to they release dates? Does that mean it would be September before they release dates for end of February-March?

The Historical and Upcoming SWA Release Dates thread can show you when your dates have been opened for booking in previous years. That obviously can't tell you exactly when your dates will open up, but it can help you guesstimate the general time frame you should pencil in on your calendar.

Based on the historical schedule, I would look for the first week or so of March to possibly open for booking in late July/early August and the rest of the month to be available by September. Timing is a bit different this year, however, so you could see the entire month open August or not until September. You'll know more after the next release date on July 1.
