Southwest Refunds?

Has anyone ever cancelled a Southwest flight well before the departure date and been able to get the money refunded to your credit card? Thanks!

You can only get a refund if the ticket you bought was a ticket that was refundable. They sell non-refundable and you have to take a credit, which I had to do.

You have one year from the date of your original reservation to fly, not just book a flight. You can get a refund of some of the taxes, probably not much more than $10 /ticket.

If you booked a non-refundable (discounted) fare you'll only get a credit. Unlike other airlines you'll get a full credit.

Is it 1 year from when you cancel or 1 year from when the flight would have been? Does this also apply to credits due to price changes?
