southwest rates for may/june

has anyone heard scoop on SW re airfare for late may/early june. i am flying from albany, ny and the web rate now is $107. quite frequently i book our flights and then they go down. getting a credit isn't as good as saving the dollars in the first place so does anyone have insight into why they sometimes drop their rates?

Checking airfare prices is like investing in the stock market! Sometimes you look really smart by waiting, and sometimes, well...not so smart. Sometimes the price will go up, and sometimes it will go down.

Are you a gambler? My opinion is: if you are comfortable with the price now you should book it.

The more people book the less likely the flight will go down. They even change the price if you book 1 or 4. I've ended up booking 4 separate flight down and back, too many number to keep track. I would keep an eye out daily for any trend. Good luck, I'm looking for flight for July 10th returning on the 17th from Providence.
