Southwest question

I have tickets booked on Southwest for January 16th - January 20 and my husband just told me that we could stay until Sunday, January 23rd instead since his work said it was fine.

My question is will they charge me a fee if I change the date from the 20th to the 23rd? What if I just cancel the entire reservation and start over?

Any help would be appreciated..oh also I used a credit of $120 when I booked these tickets, not sure if that comes into play in all this?

No, SW will not charge you a rebooking fee. The only caveat is that the fares might be higher on the rescheduled flights. The existing credit that you have from your booked flight will be added to the credit that will occur when you cancel. You will apply these funds towards your new flight and any leftover monies will be available for use for one year of when the reservations were MADE. Have a wonderful trip and safe journey!

on southwest.com they have a "change reservation" in the travel center....

you can do a comparison of what the changes will cost you before you have to make a commitment...

all you have to have is the LOCATOR ( Confirmation Number ) and the name of the persons credit card used to book the original...

we did this last weekend......changed from a friday to a saturday departure ....also changed the return trip dates .... without having to cancel the original

No they don't charge a change fee. Just go to the Travel center and there is a tab to change your reservations. It is really easy to do. I would not cancel the entire reservation, just the return date. http://www.southwest.com/travel_center/
If there is a difference in the fare, you will either get a credit or have the option of using your existing credit when it comes time to pay the difference, if any.
