I won two tickets on Southwest (Green fly anytime passes) which we are using to go to WDW Next week DEN to MCO. Has anyone used these before? I purchased 3 additional tickets for our flight and I am planning on being online at T-24 to get the bording group for my DW, DD11, and DD7. they say that myself and DS13 have to check in at the counter, no early check in. :confused3 so i will be getting our boarding group at the counter. How far back can I expect to be with boarding doing this? (full flight, first flight out, Friday of Memorial day.) Does SW frown upon DW saving seats for us as we will be not be able to board together?

Get everyone else checked in at the 24 hr window...then those that have to checkin at the counter can do so. Those that got checked in at the 24 hr window can most certainly save a few seats for the two of you.
I have no problem with saving two seats...it's when a few people try to save a huge number of seats that gets to me.
You will be fine...have fun.

Just read on another thread about a family that was forced to go along with the 1 parent, 1 child family boarding rule, while all other family members had to board with their specified boarding group. However, the mom and child who boarded during the family boarding saved seats for the other family members...and it didn't seem to be a problem.

*shrugs* Can't hurt to get the rest of your party checked in at the 24 hour mark and get them early boarding groups and then have them save seats. The worst that can happen is you and DS will have to sit away from the rest of the group.

Hi! We are actually using these too, tonight! We are flying out from Chicago tomorrow and were told that we could "pseudo" check in the night before with our confirmation number. If you put in your confirmation number and name, like usual, you will be given a "security pass" of some sort, not your boarding pass. This is a place holder so to speak of your boarding group. You then bring this with your tickets/ green passes to the boarding desk/ curb side check in and they will give you your boarding passes.

Ive never done this either so I'm hoping for smooth sailing. If I can I will post tomorrow eveing before we get on the plane and let you know how it goes.:)

thanks for the info. Yes esbrick i'm intrested to find out how it went. hopefully it goes smooth.:thumbsup2

Hi there! OK so we "checked in" like we usually do and put in the Confirmation number and names. We actually got a place holder of A58 and A60. I'm sure a majority of the others are all people who paid the extra $10 to get automatic A seating. We were given "security" passes with this info on it with directions to present these and our "Green Tickets" to the boarding agent or Ticket agent and they would give us boarding passes.

When we get through this evening I will try and post again and let you know how it goes. My posting depends entirely on whether or not my BB wants to be nice to me which is a daily question;).

Take care!
