Southwest Promotion Code?

While checking Soutwest Airline prices online, I noticed a "Promotion Code" box. Anyone know where you get a promotion code? I'm not looking for anything that I'm not supposed to have. I'm just not sure where I would even come across a promotion code for Southwest?

Does anyone know?

When one comes out, it will be all over this board on at least two or three threads to a time. Keep checking. There are none right now that I know of.

So is it best to wait for a code or just buy tickets online now? I don't want to wait for a code and miss reasonable tickets that are available now. Can you apply a promotion code later if you've already bought your tickets?

That code box is a permanent fixture there. I would not wait for a code to come out, one never knows what Rapid Rewards member will share it, when they will come out, or if they will.
I would buy my tickets now and if a code comes out you can cancel the present reservations you have now and rebook (assuming the fare is available).
