southwest points timeline

I opened a southwest rapid rewards card for the 50,000 points promotion. I spent the $2,000. On my first statement, 2,000 points were applied on the 23rd, but not the 50,000. Anyone know how long it takes those to show up and be usable? I'm hoping it doesn't wait until next month (end of Feb) statement, but fear that's what may be happening.
