Southwest opens Dates past Aug. 14 this coming week?

Any idea what a flight might be on SWA from PVD to Orlando the day they are released??

ha, forget 'brotherly' philiadelphia must be the city of SW LUV:laughing:

I have. The last few times that I purchased day of release fares out of PHL, they dropped within a week. Like a $129 one way fare dropped to $99. I may wait a week to purchase....will have to see.

im going to try & wait, not my strong suit:rolleyes1& i don't really want to be sitting on a small credit that'd be enough to tempt me to book a spur of the minute trip.

I agree in our case $86 is $86 and if we can get the $79-$82 each way deal pays for someones one way to WDW.

May everyone get some good rates/ times tomorrow! Good luck, may the force be with us.

I cant get right on (eastern time) because I will be at work until about 12:30 p. Do you guys think I will still be able to snag a decent rate? Do the other airlines react to their release by temporarily lowering their fares?

i'll be checking, but probably not buying out of the gate;)

last few times, it appears as though SWA was 'challenging the market' for my dates out of PIT:rolleyes1& things settled down a day or so after:confused3

anybody else run into this?popcorn::

I'll be checking tomorrow for a return from WDW on Aug 25th. If the price is around $89 I'll book.

The rates for KC-Orlando have been running around $72 each way. Last Dec. I got them all the way down $64. I'd love that one again. If the rate is $72 or less tomorrow I'm booking. Otherwise I'm waiting for a ding.

If I see anything for around $79-$99 each way I will probably book.

I am expecting to pay around $250.00 pp RT. but hope it won't be any more.

$250 out of Denver would work for me. I'm not sure why we seem to pay so much to fly Denver to Orlando. Lowest fare I ever found was $220 rt. Last fall, $280. This spring, $360 (to Tampa)! It really stinks. And I check the flights later and have never seen them drop, never able to get that credit.

Just looked at my Tuesday email from SW, and it said, "Congratulations! You are in luck! Our schedule is now open to Oct. 30th (as of 12 noon CT)." At least I don't have to keep checking every 5 minutes now!

im used to seeing more in range of $130 - 150 (including tax, etc) 1st day for our weekend dates out of PIT.

i was shocked to grab flights end of July last year, just a few weeks beforehand, for less than $70 (those aforementioned SW credits burning a hole in my pocket;))

i booked airtran down in Oct (had reward flight, then was thrilled to book 2 other seats for less than $200 total). I've just had so many schedule changes & afraid they'll cancel flights outright and we'll be stuck leaving for home @ 8 am vs 8 pm:eek:. It's happened to us before, by that point SW typically has doubled in price.:headache:

Add me to the list of people waiting for late August to open up! Can't wait to book my air!

no luv in the burg:sad2:$144xx for my flight home 10/10

mr said book it anyway, he won't deal w/AT on the way home when he has to be @ work next day

im hoping it'll drop later this week or next, then i'll rebook my July flight home to 'better flight' with the proceeds:teacher:
