Playing Walmart's greedy games!

How is it deceptive when it the app says the price is reflective of the online prices may vary in-store?
Well apparently, they vary in store and vary at home too. Which ever makes them the most bang for thier buck. But at the end of the day, it is capitalism, but one just needs to be attentive now more than ever with pricing.

And thier prices can vary in the store too. Now this was back in November and if this had not been the only two things I bought, they would have gotten away with it, I would have never noticed.

Two pair of leggings I bought with a price of $9.99 on the tag, but rang up $10.99 at the register, as it matched the sign. Walmart has had people arrested, (as they should) for changing prices at the register. But it is OK for them to do so.

Have no choice but too. Do you work there? 😅😅 You gotta admit, that pricing with the leggings was some BS!
Everyone has a choice. There are much better choices in terms of quality for the price in the food space. And $10 leggings aren’t going to last very long. I doubt ot is because you aren’t able to afford more since you are on a Disney board and talking about cruising that you have planned.

True. They are really pajamas to be honest.

Almost all companies now days are out to get one by the customer. After Covid, well, it just changed. But the biggest scam of all I think is insurance. Health, home, auto, and most other. Declining valid claims for any, every, and many made up reasons. Insurance takes the cake!

ETA- seen here on You Tube with a very credible TA that Norwegian is trying to charge passengers a tax that doesn't exist. Disgusting!

I just looked that up. It's a tricky situation.

Hawaii instituted a 14% Transient Accommodations Tax (TAT) on hotels a few years ago and expanded it to cruises as of January 1st. There is a legal challenge by the cruise lines (including NCL) and there is currently a federal injunction against the state collecting the TAT. Cruise lines are handling this in different ways, but NCL is continuing to charge customers the tax. If the cruise lines win their case, NCL will refund their passengers. If the cruise lines lose, I don't know how the other lines will handle the taxes for the cruises taken between 1/1/26 and whenever the case is closed. Will they bill customers? Pay it themselves?

On the subject of Wal*Mart, I hate them. I have Wal*Mart Plus only because my AMEX card pays for it and I get Paramount Plus for free through it. I am lucky that I have other reasonable stores for groceries nearby.

tourists that come to our region experience that if they stay at one of the popular resorts. due to it's ownership the resort and all the entities on it's property are exempt from any kind of taxes levied in our state but that doesn't stop them from tacking those taxes on and the ownership pocketing it.

If I worked there I wouldn’t be telling you not to shop there. I also don’t shop there. I shop places I don’t feel the need to constantly complain about.
Walmart certainly isn't perfect but to be honest there are better than any other grocery store around here. And at least Walmart has staff in the store to help you. We shop early Sunday morning and there were 6 employees on duty in our "premium" grocery store. We came from the neighborhood Walmart where there were six people JUST in the produce section stocking. The usual four up front at the checkouts, and the personal shoppers in ALMOST every aisle who are more than happy to help you if you have an issue.

That is good, but not relatable where we live.

Shameful. But corporations, government, companies, no longer have shame.

I will never forget one time I ordered a cute wax melt warmer my friend wanted for her birthday. I ordered online and paid $25. When it was delivered it had a clearance sticker on it for 6.00. . When i called I was told it was apparently on clearance from a
local store but not online. lol

I know with Dollar General, you need to know down to penny what your price comes out to. They have gotten me a few times before I realized the game.
