Southwest open thru March 9th

haley's mom ~ Did you get a good price? I am looking for my friend and her 2 DDs from 2/24 to 2/4 and the cheapest price is $287 pp R/T for the last flight out of MHT (our home airport) and the first flight out of MCO. Ouch. I was hoping for better flight times around $200-250. I paid $234 on US Air for my family but I was hoping to get SWA for her but not at that price and those flight times.

the prices I got were too high for me ~ $289.10 pp RT 1/12 - 1/20 and not the times I need either. I'll wait for a sale

I'm also booking MHT for vacation week (2/24-3/3). I ended up booking Fri 2/23 (late a.m., 11something) to Sat 3/3 (12:20 I think), both non-stop. I paid $371.6 (ouch) - the only thing that helped me is that 2 of the 4 of us had RR tickets (which did have availability on those flights!) so we only had to pay for 2. Certainly higher than I'd like, but it is vacation week and I'd rather go SW for non-stop from MHT than have stops or go to BOS (JetBlue would actually have cost more for the times I would have chosen.

I couldn't be flexible with my dates as we did an II exchange and have a villa at Beach Club from 2/23 to 3/3.

Thanks for the info - just booked our February trip. The fares were a little bit high, but still much lower than even JetBlue for that peak week. I'll keep watching for Dings, but don't hold out much hope that there will be any for President's Week.

I can't believe everything is just about gone already for President's Day weekend. I wanted to come back a little later than the times they have also.

The cheapest I am finding is from Dayton, OH to MCO roundtrip nonstop... Airtran $318.00 per person. I am a first time flyer. How does this sound? Seems really high but I don't want to lose out on this weekend.

Feb 3- Feb 10 from MHT are $270 roundtrip that seems really high. Should I hold out for a better rate??? There are 9 of us going......

End of January departing on Thursday for Disney cruise, DD's 4-th birthday with Pirate and Princess party, and return on Wednesday...

PIT to MCO opened at $79 each way. I think I will book our trip down (it's not able to be changed due to the curise departure date), but I'll wait for a sale or Ding for our return flight.

I've never flown to Disney to January, wonder how crowded the planes will be? Maybe there will be good sales. I got $49 each way for the 5 of us for our trip next week.

We are going Jan 19 to Jan 27, BNA (Nashville) to MCO. Right now it is $130 one way. Do you think we will get a good DING? When?

I am really bummed that Presidents week has got nothing but the highest fares available. I called and they said not everything was released???????????? Truth or just what I wanted to hear????
Cannot pay over $400 PP

Hopefully that is true that they didn't release all the fares because my friend won't be able to join us with the airfare that high. Maybe there will be a systemwide sale or Ding that is more affordable. Looks like it might be just me and the kids this time. :guilty:

Just checked; Superbowl is Feb 4th in Miami and Daytona 500 is Feb 18th. Two huge events in Feb for Florida......hopefully they will still be able to get some better rates (cannot afford $289 pp unless there is no other choice of course) or a real great ding....any suggestions... should i book the outgoing flight; wait for a better fare;hope for a ding rate or bite the bullet.......

I also just checked school vacation week (Feb 24-Mar 4) for MHT-MCO. Prices came up well over $300. This is higher than I paid for the same week last year by almost $100. If you absolutely have to go that week, I would book now to get the flight times you want. Try booking your return for Monday, 3/5 - the prices are lower if you can afford to miss one school day. Most likely a DING or sale will come along after the initial bookings. Our fare went down last year after I booked. There were certain flights I wanted, so I booked them in advance. We probably won't go in Feb since we just got back at the end of Aug, but Feb break will be a popular week and seats could sell out if not booked now. Good Luck!

Just tried to book out of Buffalo over 340 per person to Orlando for 2/21-3/1 tried out of PIT and got round trip for 177 with better flights. Will still watch for cheaper out of Buffalo but to me 177 isn't too bad. Finally the wait is over we booked Disney back in Feb.

Hopefully DINGS for November will be following shortly.

I'll second this! I've booked Feb, but still haven't booked Nov!

I called and they said not everything was released????????????

I can only hope that's true, as I'd like to change my times a bit; BUT in case it's not I was thrilled to be able to use a RR for Sun 2/18 down and Return on Monday 2/26 for $157/pp
it's the last flight of the day on Sunday, though. Either I get something earlier or we stay at MCO that night. Not going to waste DVC points for an arrival at 11PM

NOOOO! My DH said if the SWA flights were too much, we'd have to drive...
Our flights from Columbus to MCO came in at $266 pp. for the end of Jan. Too much (we get spoiled, it isn't TOO bad, but times that for everyone plus the rest of the vacation!) I suppose we could book and then just watch for the price to lower. It is just a pain to get credit... (It sounds like I want to have my cake and eat it too!) I just want this to be a real vacation...driving does not add to that ambiance! I guess I'll keep at it! :surfweb:

There were a handful of Dings for November on Saturday & Sunday 09.09 & 09.10. They were from the Northeast. I scored non stop flight PVD to MCO for $127.09.

I do think there will be more November dings coming, this seemed very focused on PVD and MHT.

Wah-hoo! Got our dates in January reserved!
Now I'll sit back and wait for Dings (please, please, pretty please :rolleyes1 ).

I guess that'll mean I'll be tied to my computer for the next few months, even at the F & W Festival! (How does a laptop do on Rock 'n Roller coaster :rotfl2: )

Hi, Just got in and ALL GOOD airfares from PVD to MCO for PRES. week are GONE??? Did anyone get any GOOD fares?? Or were only the HIGHER fares made available today?? Joan
