Ok so I'm panicing now with only a week to go and no documents from Southwest Vacations. I call them tonight and they tell me they've sent my airline tickets 2-day UPS and they should arrive tomorrow. (I booked this trip a month ago!) I asked about our Magical Express luggage tags and tickets and the TA tells me they didn't receive them from Disney's Magical Express yet. So I call Magical Express and a very nice calm cast member looked me up and said they had my reservation in the system and even if I don't get my luggage tags or tickets for ME, I can just get them printed out at the ME Welcome Center at the airport. She also said I should give them my baggage claim tickets at the ME center and they will get my luggage and take it to AKL. (I'm feeling calmer already but that could be the wine!)
So at least I feel better that Disney has me in their system. I'm still not happy with the TA and probably won't use them again! Especially since the cast member told me Southwest forgot to register me for Magical Express.

I haven't had a paper ticket for an airline in .... I don't know....maybe 7 or 8 years? I know they still have them for international travel, but I had no idea that paper tickets are still used for domestic air travel. :confused3

I haven't used paper tickets in at least that long too. I booked online and was unaware it wasn't "ticketless" until after I booked. I was too excited about the price!

Thats the big drawback using SWV you get a Paper ticket and can't check-in on-line at the 24hr mark. You get what you get when you arrive at the airport.

You would think they would have it set up a bit better .

As far as the DME you will be fine as the DME CM stated . If you can take a picture of your bags and print it right before you leave that will help them but is in no way something that has to be done.

Sorry to hear this happened to you but glad to know this about SWV now, I have never used them and probably won't now that I have heard this.:wave2:

Don't be so fast not to use them . I think the price I got going to Vegas was well worth not getting the A boarding passes.

But it is nice to be informed.

I didnt know the airlines were supposed to register you. I have always used southwest when I go to Disney, and they have never ever registered me. I was always told it was my job to call Disney, and Disney told me the same thing. They told me to call when I found out when my flight was, and then my luggage tags always came with my documents from Disney. Was I wrong?

I think the poster booked their entire vacation with Southwest Vacations.
