Any DISers flying out of Nashville in October holding out for the $39 rate? They have offered that rate 2 or 3 times since I've been watching, but I haven't seen it since they started taking ressies for October. I would love to get that rate, but am getting a little anxious that I don't have airline ressies yet. I hold my breath every Tuesday, but still nothing. :confused3

I am holding out for SOMETHING better than $241 RT! I will take the first good fare I find.

Same here...going in July, and have yet to see a decent fare for our dates...we seem to just miss any specials!

Hubby was in the same boat for July! (We're in Huntsville) I had seen a GREAT fare on Delta for his trip ($98 RT) out of Nashville, but he was adamant about flying out of Huntsville at the time. Then Independence pulled their direct flight from Huntsville to Orlando, so Delta had no reason to keep their direct flights low.

We finally got a Ding on Southwest for $130 RT out of Birmingham and booked it!

I would LOVE to see a SW special out of BHM or Nashville for October, cause we want to take a weekend trip for F&W festival!!!

I have a september trip and an october/november trip I'm waiting on. I will book the first time it falls below $200 r/t because I really don't think it's going to go any lower at this point :(

I broke down and bought my tickets yesterday. With the internet special, it came down to $99 oneway, so I booked. I will rebook if a better special comes my way, but I was getting nervous and $%#@ Delta just kept getting HIGHER.

I did too. And, I actually prefer southwest over delta when flying to MCO. With delta we always get stuck in this dank basement area that is really a long walk.

Lori, exactly! Then you're in those itty bitty little planes. And I don't know if it's just me, but I have NEVER had a Delta flight leave on time. Maybe both of us will be lucky and end up with a great sale and a nice credit. Spring break, anyone? :cheer2:

Where are you seeing this rate? As of right now, we're planning to drive from West TN to WDW, but would fly if the price is right.

TIA.

yep, I'm waiting for a better rate for October. We live in north Alabama also, so we could fly from Nashville or B'ham. We've never flown to Orlando before, our family of 5 will have to see a low rate to do so!

clkelley - I sent Independence Air an e-mail begging them to bring back the direct flight from HSV to MCO, but of course I've yet to get a response. :confused3

I'm hoping the rates will drop in August for the fall, that seems to be the pattern. Good luck everyone.

Stacy C - you won't find it anywhere right now. It showed up a couple of times in the spring as a DING! fare but I couldn't book it then because our dates were too far out. I am sooooo hoping they will have some better fares soon - I'm getting a little anxious!

My daughter and I actually flew for $39 each way this past spring. That was southwest from nashville. It happens a couple of times a year but definitely not something you can count on!

We were able to get $131 r/t from nashville last year via priceline. We had a pretty large group, there were 7 of us. If you don't care about times or direct flights or not, I highly suggest this method!

That would be SO nice. Was it a DING! special or some other special they had somewhere else on their website?

It was a ding, but they do occasionally offer it as a regular sale. We've also had good luck getting decent fares on delta via priceline.

I have flown Southwest out of Nashville at $39 each leg several times! They seem to offer it each fall, it is just the waiting that kills me! :confused3

The two trips at the end of last year, Ind Air offered the same thing and I was able to fly from Knoxville instead of Nashville. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

At this point, I will take EITHER!! I am holding out...as of now, we are planning to drive unless they offer the $39 fare....
