Southwest from Detroit

It has been many years, but we did fly from Detroit to Orlando non-stop and looking at their prices today they are all either 1 stop or 2. No direct flights out of Detroit anymore?? I was considering signing up for their credit card but not if there aren't any direct flights. Any one fly direct from detroit with them recently??

Do you mean non-stop rather than direct? They are not the same thing.

They ended their Detroit non-stops awhile ago. They seemed to move away from cities where another major airline has a hub - Detroit has Delta. It's hard to compete for business travelers, which is where they make their money.

Check Air Tran - they have direct flights to MCO from both Detroit and Flint. SInce Air Tran and SW merged that might be why SW dropped their direct flights.

I find Delta or air tran within a couple of bucks of each other. Both have a # of dail non-stops.

I fly DTW, and will not stop too.

You said you didn't want stops, which a direct flight can have. I think you meant non-stop. There are still flights on WN from Detroit to Orlando.

You are right. OP might want to go with another airline if this is really important (and might as well try to find a non-stop flight).

I always fly Delta out of Detroit to Orlando (about 4 times a year). Lots of daily non-stop flights to chose from.
