So excited  booked San Francisco to Orlando (round trip) for $241 per person (used the $25 off code) for our September trip. This is the 6th year in a row that I've gotten round trip tickets from California to Orlando for under $250. I check everyday till there's a fare I want. :cool1:

Wow! I'm traveling half the distance and paid more. I also check every day and have had three of our flights re-priced. But I'm still paying almost $300pp round-trip Orlando to Manchester.

You did a great job!

I'm happy for you. I can't find anywhere near those prices from 1/2 the distance. If you don't mind me asking. Where do you book from (what site)? Thanks in advance.

The problem is, the take off and landing, and airport fees is what costs the airlines the most money. The flight distance is really not near as much of a factor as take-off and landing. So a short flight will rarely cost a lot less than a cross-country flight.

I am also from Stockton, and booked the same deal for mid-September.

:cool1:

We're going 9/12-23 (DW 12-19 DCL 19-23).
I'm going to keep checking SouthWest we'd rather leave out of Sacramento, one of the reasons I like SW you can change if other deals come out.

We'll be staying at Pop Century September 11-20. I will also keep checking back on flights. I love having the option of choosing from Sacramento, San Francisco, Oakland, or San Jose!

There's a $25 off code? Where did you find that?

I keep hitting southwest.com every day just to make sure they didn't open up the first week fo december (still only booking through November 5th).

i think their site still says new dates open up around 6/15

Wow! I hope I can get those prices for our late November trip! :thumbsup2 I'm patiently waiting for them to open up those dates.
We will be flying from either SFO or OAK to Orlando. Nov 18 - 27th. :cool1:

So far best for us from PHX to MCO for Sept. 4th-12th is $290 on various carriers or $328 on SW. This seems very high to me compared with prior years and coupon code isn't valid for these dates. I don't know how long to wait to see if they go down!

Go to www.visitflorida.com/share/ and send a friend (or yourself) a Florida email, from Southwest Airlines. Your friend will then need to verify receiving the email and they will be sent a $25 off code. The code may take 3 days to receive. Here are the details:
Only valid on round trip flights from June 1, 2010 - December 1, 2010
The ticket must be purchased by August 1, 2010
Can be used for multiple passengers if booked at the same time
Only valid for "Wanna get away" fares

I'm getting nervous. I booked Virgin American for our trip in October. The only problem is - they haven't yet started to fly SFO to MCO yet. The only way I can find the flight is to plug in our confirmation numbers.

I would love a flight from the Bay Area to Orlando at under $250! But I hate changing planes (our VA flight is a non-stop).
