Southwest Flights

The schedule is showing the wanna get away fares as unavailable. This is for the 21st into Logan.

OUCH!! by the time I could get back into the flight the price was $290! so I tried booking a day earlier at $165, but then that wasnt available so now we are staying a day later at $165. Not the price or day I wanted :( Hoping something goes down for earlier so I can rebook. Kids have already missed enough days this yr and It's only Oct :scared1:

Good Luck All
Congrats Momtotwoboys! and hope everyone else gets what they want! :goodvibes

I have southwest credit that I want to use. But SW is not looking good!

Flying out of PGH Saturday, May 11 got $164 nonstop early moring flight. We had hoped to get Sunday morning May 12 but NO morning norstops and also $196. So we backed up to Saturday!

This is times 4 passengers for us---so saved $128 to go a day earlier which of course will be spent (and more?) on one more hotel night plus food?

End result one extra day at Disney though.... I think I can rationalize that as a win somehow!!! :)

Wow, over $500 rdtrp, boy I miss the good old days of $79 each way. Thank goodness we were able to get one roundtrip and one one way ticket on points, and only had to pay for one rdtrp and one one way cash.
Our days were firm due to our cruise, usually if we are just going to WDW we will go Mon-Mon. Oh well.

The wanna get away fares were higher than compared to the fares for the prior period when first released! But I booked with points, fares are ridiculous across all airlines right now.

Booked Bradley (CT) to MCO April 13 - 20 as soon as prices came out. Tickets were $165 each way so just over $1300 for 4 of us.

I always book the two legs of the trip separately in case I want to modify something. So...by the time I got to booking our return flight and hit process payment, it said that flight / price was no longer available. Had to back all the way out and pick an earlier flight. Not easy to type fast when you're trying to type fast!!! :headache:

Last year for the same week we paid $99 per way for a total of just under $1000. Prices are definitely up this year! But, I'm just happy we were able to book it!

And, man those prices move quickly. Within minutes the prices for our flights jumped to $250 and $290. Yikes!

I agree, same flight on JB right now is 5.00 more than what we are paying on SWA and I was able to use points for 1/2 of my tickets. Though it is still a tough pill to swallow.:headache:

So we are going for the shortest FL vacation ever, Have the worst flights ever at the highest prices ever, out of my least favorite airport. (I had credits to use so we were stuck with Southwest)

BUT HEY! I'm going on vacation baby! :cool1:

I will be keeping my eye on flights as I hope to change at least one portion of my flight. (home so we are close when we land.) Any one have luck changing just one direction of their flight, different airport included?

looks like many of us are flying back into BDL on the 20th! We can console each other at baggage claim :lmao:

Talk about price gouging! Mass April vacation prices are crazy.

I know, it's horrible. Who wants to pay $2-$3000 for airfare? That's about what we pay for our whole vacation (resort, passes, etc.). Ridiculous! Not to mention, it seems like a good deal of the people who go to WDW on school vacation can only go on those weeks b/c they're teachers - as if teachers can afford to pay that much for airfare.

See you there!! We're on the 10:50 flight that lands at 1:30.

Really wanted the 6:00 flight so that we could have lunch in Disney before we left, but the price jumped up before I could finish typing all our names in. Oh well :)

Even though I live 5 minutes from MHT I had to book flights out of Providence because it was more than $500 cheaper. I'll keep monitoring the fares and hopefully the fares drop enough so we can fly out of MHT.

post here if anyone sees their prices drop. Hopefully tomorrow-weds. we'll see a decrease. I'm stalking flights out of MHT on 4/12 that are currently $350. Way too high for me!

CT Disney we are on the same flight!!! Whooo hoooo. I am happy with our prices for school vacation. Glad I was up very early and ready with fast fingers! What flight are you going down on? We are April 12th 8:00 AM

We are going down on Sat April 13 on the 1:30 flight. Didn't even think to leave on Friday...great idea! Maybe next time...

Out of curiosity, did anyone else have fewer nonstop flight options than usual? There are usually at least 4 nonstop round trip options for Houston-Orlando (especially on weekend flights), but for April and May there are only 3 flights for each end of the trip.

We were online at 8am (did not know flights were open earlier, duh!) SWA out of MCO to PVD cost us $400/ each. It is non stop but everything else was sold out by the time we got there. We are leaving at 5pm as well.
